Shadows Of War: Evil Alliance Part 1

Quest to Defend Dage's Underworld from Malgor

After the ShadowLord Malgor’s plot to control the ley lines failed, he retreated. Or so we thought, until Dage the Evil received a message... and an offer of alliance. But Dage was not deceived by Malgor's empty promises, and now he needs your help to defend his realm. Because if Dage won't willingly add his Underworld minions to the ShadowFlame army, then Malgor intends to TAKE them.

The Story So Far...

The Queen of Monsters is dead, but Evil lives on... and the shadows she cast over our world continue to spread. A new overlord controls her castle, and if you aren't fighting FOR Malgor, the leader of the ShadowFlame Army, he wants to make sure you'll never fight again. His army has invaded our world, his minions seek to turn you over to him, and if you're going to stop him, you'll need two things, FAST: allies + power. 

After all of the chaos the Queen of Monsters wreaked, it is clear that you cannot sit back and deal with smaller threats to the world. That means we need to start gathering two things NOW: allies and power.

Dage's Birthday Class Update, Part 1

The Undead Legion is made up of Lore's finest undead (and not-undead-yet) warriors. That is why we're bringing back some of your favorite Underworld class skills paired with new art!

Starting tonight, find the BladeMaster Class, BladeMaster Assassin Class, and Legion BladeMaster Assassin Class skills return as the SwordMaster Class series!

SwordMaster Class uses rebalanced and buffed BladeMaster Class skills.

How to Unlock the new classes:

If you have any of the original BladeMaster classes, you can unlock their SwordMaster variants for free from the Curio shop in Battleontown.

The Tier 2 Class intended to release for Dage's Birthday, the Yami no Ronin Class, will arrive next month. This Tier 2 class will only be available via farming. Keep an eye out for more details about how to obtain it soon.

Encore! The Return of Breaking Benjamin

This Battle Concert story event is free for everyone, all ages, any level. Team up with your friends and battle through time and space as the band Breaking Benjamin rocks out!

Defeat horrifying creatures in the Void and take down the PlaneShifter boss.

That unlocks the concert backstage area where you can meet the band and complete Bryce Platinum's quest for more reward gear than a crew of roadies can haul.

All the real life concerts everywhere were cancelled. We have had amazing battle concert story events here in AdventureQuest Worlds, and some incredible guest groups. 

So we talked to the band, and we're going to revive and extend our previous concert so everyone in the world can come party with us in game!

Battle for a chance to get wicked loot

The Breaking Benjamin concert is 100% free for everyone to enjoy, so it did not have a collection when released. Over half of the reward items released in the concert event were available for everyone as monster and quest drops... and they're back!

If you didn't get a chance to farm for them while the concert was live in February... now's your chance! Plus, coming next week, we'll add a selection of new drops to keep you rockin' all night long!

The Dark Carnival Returns

Friday the 13th And Lucky Day Double Holiday!

It is March, the month of Evil, and the weekend after Friday the 13th! That means... the Dark Carnival returns for the Unlucky Day Fair. Better boost your real-life LUK stat this weekend, because you're going to need every four-leaf clover, horseshoe, and rabbits foot you've got! Aurelio Voltaire and Zazul are here to make sure you "win" all the prizes you deserve... including a few new Friday the 13th / Lucky day crossover items!

Both Zazul and Aurelio Voltaire have a quest that is ONLY available while the Dark Carnival is in town.

• Zazul's Purgatorio Charade quest has a chance to reward: the Twisted Monkey Paw, Chibi Zazul House Item, Ringermaster Mort pet, and Silver Purgatorio Coin weapons

Unlucky Leperchaun Class

It's so uncommon for Lucky Day and Friday the 13th to coincide (the next won't be until 2026!) that to celebrate, we've added an event-exclusive version of the Unlucky Leperchaun Class... the Undead Leperchaun. It has the same skills as the 2015 Unlucky Leperchaun, but new art. This class will only be available when Friday the 13th and Lucky Day converge. 

The Undead Leperchaun Class is a highly modified version of the Evolved Leprechaun Class, and can be obtained from the Dark Carnival event shop for 2,000 ACs OR for gold, if you're a Legend. Check out the original class skills write up for more details about how the class will play.

The Month of Evil + the Unluckiest Day of the Year

Evil. Darkness. DOOM. And... Friday the 13th?! That's right. This weekend, we're celebrating the darkest month of the year with the unluckiest EVENT of the year in a double-holiday war... for POWER! Log in this weekend and head to Aurelio Voltaire's library for a story of fear and horror... of underworlds and lost souls... and creatures pulled straight from your nightmares. Of Dage the Evil vs SHRADE in the Splatter Realm!

The adventure begins as you battle through the Underworld to help Dage the Evil unlock the mystery of a Puzzle Box that promises to take him to a world even deeper and darker than the one he rules.. But to take control of it, he'll need to take out the creature guarding its gateway: SHRADE.

This weekend, /join puzzlebox to begin your cursed underworld adventure and...

• Battle through Aurelio Voltaire's tale of terror
• Fight through the Underworld to help Dage the Evil unlock the mystery of the Dark Enigma puzzlebox
• Complete the story quests to begin the Dage vs Shrade WAR in the Splatter Realm

Friday the 13th and Aurelio Voltaire go together like Evil Armies of Undead and Horror Movies. So of course, this Friday our always-positive, family-friendly game team and community want to welcome him back for another musical event! 

Aurelio Voltaire is the maker of music, films, books, comics, toys and... mayhem. He has appeared in almost ALL of the AQWorlds Friday the 13th events... and has become a fan-favorite for our players (not to mention beloved by goths, trekkies, and music-lovers in general).

War Events How-To Guide

Battle alongside your fellow heroes to defeat your enemies to defend the Splatter Realm... or conquer it! For many of you, this will be the FIRST war you've ever fought in, and you're in LUCK! (Even though it IS Friday the 13th...)

But if you're not sure how to fight in an AQWorlds war, then read on!

• Choose a side: You can choose to battle for Dage the Evil or Shrade. 
• War Meter:  Defeat your opponents to earn war tokens, then turn them in to increase the war meter. When the meter hits 100%, it unlocks the war boss.
• War Tokens: There are two different kinds of tokens. Turning in 5 regular tokens to increases the meter by a regular amount. Turn in 3 mega tokens to increase the meter by DOUBLE the normal amount.
• Goals: Raising the war meter unlocks special achievements - special shops, challenge fights, cutscenes, or the war boss (once the meter hits 100%).  Defeat the war boss to unlock the final story cutscene.

You and the rest of the heroes in Lore will all be fighting together to reach a common goal: victory! With every additional hero who battles in the war, you'll reach the 100% mark that much faster... and that means you'll unlock the rewards and storyline ending sooner, too!

The month of EVIL begins now! Log in and battle through all of Dage the Evil's returning birthday zones, take on wicked bosses, and check out his seasonal birthday gear shop. Dark Caster Class Series Returns

The Undead Legion is made up of Lore's finest undead (and not-undead-yet) warriors. That is why last year, we brought back ALL the Dark Caster Class skills, tied to art created by Dage just for his birthday. Each class is available from Dage's Dark Birthday Shop for 2,000 ACs and will return each year for his birthday.

• Infinite Dark Caster Class uses the Evolved DC class skills
• Timeless Dark Caster Class uses the Arcane DC class skills
• Immortal Dark Caster Class uses the original DC class skills

Coming This Friday: New Rares + Farming Rewards

This Friday, an all-new collection of birthday items arrive -- we've got a mix of collection/birthday rares (including the color-customizable Devourer of Souls) as well as farming rewards. 

Members of the Undead Legion will also be able to craft items for two new sets exclusive to Dage the Evil's most loyal followers. If you're not a member of the Undead Legion, never fear! You, too, can sell your soul to Dage the Evil and become a part of his immortal army.

* Last year, we added a series of Dark Caster-themed classes and armors. Like in AdventureQuest 3D, these items will return to Dage's birthday shop each year. But the Dark Caster collection chest pet (and the discount it gave)are rare and will not return.

Unlock the Legion WarSeeker Set

March is the month of EVIL! Warriors around Lore channel their inner darkness, rage, and embrace the war-like spirit that lives within. This month's seasonal set honors that drive, featuring a new set straight out of the Underworld: the Legion Warseeker.

Starting Sunday, March 1st at 12:01 AM EST (that's server time), unlock the Legion Warseeker armor and all its accessories!

There are two ways to get the gear:

1) Total package: Buy the entire set directly through the website for $9.99 USD 

2) Individually: Buy each of the individual pieces from Garek the Traveling Gear Merchant in Battleon.

The total cost to buy all of the gear individually is 4,400 ACs, so getting all the gear from the pack is a pretty sweet deal (you save 2,400 ACs).

Is this the same as ann upgrade bonus? 

Upgrade bonus gear is an extra reward for buying AdventureCoin or Membership packages; new bonus gear comes out roughly every month. Seasonal set packs are bought separately. Just like the Flame Dragon Warrior pack, you can buy the entire set directly, for one price, on our site. You can ALSO buy the individual pieces in-game.

This set will return EVERY March, so if you can't get it now, you'll have another chance in 2020, or 2021, or 2022, etc.

If this isn't a new upgrade bonus, what IS the next bonus?
