As the Mogloween moon rises, the crypt cracks open and the air fills with the whispers of skittering feet. The Undead Dreadspider's minions race before their master. Player Housing Spotlight: R0-Y09 Space X Laboratory by Roy09

Madness, Mayhem, and Moonbase Vibes

Hello heroes & home decorators around the world… and the galaxy! Our latest Player Housing Spotlight is heading straight into deep space, where science gets weird, failed experiments roam free, and a Mad Scientist rules over it all. Welcome to R0-Y09 Space X Laboratory, built by the delightfully chaotic Roy09!

Open to all humans and aliens alike on the Artix server via /house Roy09, this interstellar stronghold was first constructed in 2020 and has been obsessively remodeled ever since.

“I cannot recall how many times I redesigned this house, it’s just my inner child is waiting for more Space-related house items,” Roy09 the homeowner shares. Hmm… maybe a 3I ATLAS-inspired item will make landfall soon? 🛸

Touring the Lab: Room by Room

1. Project X-tra

Where it all begins. This intro area sets the tone for the entire experience — a mysterious (and slightly unnerving) vibe that lets you know: this is ~not~ your average space base.

2. The Laboratory Entrance

Massive servers. Experimental gear. Definitely no unauthorized creatures roaming loose… we hope. You’re in the zone now.

3. The Clonning Room

That’s not a typo — that’s what Roy09 calls it. And yes, there’s some “creative cloning” going on. Think vat-grown humanoids with a touch of EbilCorp tech. At least you’ll feel like royalty walking down the red carpet! …oh wait…

4. The Core

Still under construction while Roy awaits the perfect Heart item to complete the room — which is already giving me hardcore FFVII Jenova vibes! Maybe a parasitic alien goddess is what the room needs instead? Regardless of what is (or isn’t) added into AQW, every space laboratory needs a totally-not-dangerous pulsing core! 

5. Room of Failed eXperiment

Welcome to the final room, where everything went gloriously & horribly wrong. Every mad scientist has a few “oops” moments, and this room is full of them. Tentacles, clones, and slime-coated monstrosities with too many eyes, mouths, and mysterious fluids to count. This room is a monument to what SHOULDN’T have been.

“I just layered the items to make it look realistic — and I think it’s awesome,” Roy09 says while a wicked grin spreads across his face. “Or it’s just that I’m a MAaaaDAA, Creaaative AQW Scientist! <3” 

The Lore Behind the Lab

“This Space X Laboratory is a secret lab owned by a player named Roy09,” our creator explains. “Rumors say that creatures putting chaos in different places were actually failed projects by the Mad Scientist.”

Wait… failed on purpose? 👀

We’re not saying Roy09 is responsible for 37% of all in-game chaos monsters… but we’re not NOT saying it, either.

“If I could turn back time, not for collection chests — but to have all the TMBG house shop items. Especially the Extraterresterrarium. :P”

Same, Roy. Same. We fully support this level of unhinged genius. 

And with free house space expansions from the AQW team, and a constant flow of new decorations from our amazing artists, Roy’s mad science dreams are just getting started! We cannot wait to see what Roy09 builds next… watching from a safe distance, ofc.

King's Echo Class

Battle to unlock the 17th Birthday Class Now

The long awaited good themed endgame class is here. Head to Termina Temple and begin the journey to unlock the King's Echo class, based on King Alteon himself!

How to Unlock the Class

If you are at least level 80 and have completed the Rumbling of Cold Thunder saga, find Victoria in /terminatemple and complete a series of quests in order to obtain Alteon's armor, crown, sword, and mace. Upon acquiring them all (while maybe learning a little more about the late King along the way), you'll unlock the class! Some of the requirements include:

• Level 80
• Completion of the Rumbling of Cold Thunder saga
• Rank 10 in the Good and Swordhaven factions
• Alden's Liberation Armor

King's Echo Details

Simply put, this is King Alteon the class, a magical based damage dealer that can also take a number of hits. The skills incorporate his sword, mace, lightning, barrier, and even dragon, with the gameplay revolving around spending your mana to either charge up your sword for more damage, or activate your barrier to protect against damage.

Description: Recommended enhancement: Wizard. A memory of the man who became a legend in Lore. The people called upon a King to lead them, and that man was none other than Alden Alteon.
Stat Model: Power Caster
Mana Regen: The King's Echo fully restores their mana upon summoning Corvak.

Combat Skills

Dragon Sword
Rank needed: 1 / Default Attack
Target: Enemy
Max Targets: 1
Type: 55 - 715% Magical as Physical
Range: Medium
Mana Cost: 0
Cooldown: 2.5 seconds

The King's blade, its magical properties allow it to store and unleash energy. Damage dealt is based on Spell Power and Energy Infusion.

While it may seem like a standard Auto Attack, once charged up it becomes one of your highest damaging skills.

Liberation Mace
Rank needed: 1
Target: Enemy
Max Targets: 1
Type: 250% Magical as Physical
Range: Medium
Mana Cost: 0
Cooldown: 3 seconds

The mace that liberated the weak from their oppressors. Deals damage based on your Spell Power and applies Censure, reducing your target's Damage Resistance, Crit Chance, and Dodge by 20% for 10 seconds. While Royal Resolve is active, applies Overthrown, reducing your target's outgoing damage by 8% for 10 seconds, stacks to 4.

It's just a regular old mace, but it packs a punch! In addition to a steady stream of damage, you also apply a nice slew of debuffs to your target.

Rank needed: 2
Target: Enemy
Max Targets: 1
Type: 110% Magical
Range: Infinite
Mana Cost: 25
Cooldown: 3 seconds

Channel a bolt of electricity through your sword, leaving behind Residual Energy which stacks to 8 and lasts 10 seconds.

The more you use this skill, the stronger your Auto Attack ultimately becomes, just be sure to keep an eye on your mana.

King's Shield
Rank needed: 3
Target: Self
Mana Cost: 50
Cooldown: 5 seconds

Create a damage nullifying barrier, guarding against most forms of damage for 2 seconds and applying Focus for 4 seconds, which forces your target to attack only you for the duration. These effects can not occur again until CORVAK! is used. Also applies Royal Resolve, increasing your Damage Resistance by 50% while healing you over time for 6 seconds.

One of the strongest forms of protection out there. Upon using this skill, you become near invincible for 2 seconds, reducing most instances of damage to 0, while also taunting your target. As this effect is very powerful, it can't be repeatedly used but while it's on cooldown you can still use the skill to get a hefty defense buff and HoT. 

CORVAK!
Rank needed: 5
Target: Enemy
Max Targets: 1
Type: 300% - 1260% Magical, based on missing mana
Range: Infinite
Mana Cost: -200
Cooldown: 16 seconds

Call upon your dragon to unleash a powerful energy blast, dealing unavoidable critical damage based on your missing mana and refilling it. The blast Infuses all Residual Energy into your Dragon Sword for 20 seconds, increasing its damage based on the number of stacks and replacing any stacks that are currently Infused.

Last but not least, Alteon's mighty dragon assists you in battle. On top of dealing massive damage and refilling your mana, Corvak activates your Residual Energy stacks, infusing your Auto Attack with greatly increased damage for a period of time. Additionally, using Corvak causes your next use of King's Shield to apply its Invulnerability and Focus effects.

Endurance increased by 200% and Physical Resistance increased by 20%.

Energy Attuned

Type: Passive

Haste and Crit Chance increased by 25%.

Mana Costs reduced by 20% and Hit Chance, Outgoing Magic Damage, and Healing Power increased by 10%.

Conclusion

With armaments in hand and dragon at their back, the King's Echo is a formidable force on the battlefield, much like Alteon himself. Whether you focus on an offensive approach through charging your sword, a defensive one by blocking damage with your barrier, or a balance of both, you'll find you're able to adapt to a variety of situations and take on a slew of powerful foes.

From Big Bang Beginnings to Galactic Greatness

Universal was first launched back in 2020, but after a well-earned break, Raymond made a stellar comeback earlier this year.

“I originally created the guild on my Cosmic account… we were a big community years ago but only had 125 official guild members. Leading the original Universal was amazing and I will never forget it.”

The guild was disbanded in 2021 during Raymond’s “retirement era,” but in true hero fashion, he returned in March 26th, 2025 with a new account, a renewed mission, and a galaxy-sized goal. And the community responded instantly ~and~ overwhelmingly!

Cylisse here! The team's super happy you all enjoyed the party your friends threw for you in Swordhaven Castle! Space was limited, so we couldn't fit all of the NPCs in AQW into the guestlist. I noticed a lot of players were curious about what the absent characters' gifts could have been.

Pack Details

Every October, we celebrate AdventureQuest Worlds’ birthday, and honor the heroes who help support the game by becoming Upholders. To show our appreciation, every Upholder instantly unlocks exclusive gifts, badges, an adventurezone, and more.

17th Upholder Dates & Details

Upholders are a core part of why we're able to create updates every week and can keep the game free to play. Become a 17th Upholder now to help keep AQWorlds growing and expanding!

There are two ways to unlock the 17th Upholder bonus:

1. Upgrade your AQW account with any membership during the month of October
2. Have an active membership that expires on or after 11:59 PM November 1st

Important information:

• 17th Upholder starts Wednesday, October 1 at 12:01 AM and ends Saturday, November 1 at 11:59 PM*
• Only memberships count towards 17th Upholder.

17th Upholder Rewards

In addition to bragging rights as one of Lore's elite heroes, all 17th Upholders will unlock access to the AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity tech demos and tests, plus suprise bonus items over the course of the month.

2025 Star Swords

This year's Star Swords theme is: "Villains, Monsters, and How to Combat Them" them. 

Inspiration came from the the beasts, bosses, and bad guys you love to battle in-game... and this poll asking which you loved most.

DragonRoad Star Swords & Class For ALL Upholders

We wouldn't be here without your support, and we want to make sure you know it! The Sentinel Class will be available for ALL previous Upholders and Founders as our way of saying thanks for supporting us in the past! Over the last several years, we added new Star Swords available to every Upholder. You'll find them in the Star Sword Merge shop in /dragonroad.
