Read on to see what's happening with Rarities and additiona item changes!

Over the years, we had these main rarities as our main rarites:

Unknown, Common, Weird, Awesome, 1%, 5%, Boss Drop, Secret, Junk, Impossible, Limited Time, Artifact, Crazy, Expensive, Rare, Epic, Seasonal, Seasonal Rare*, Event, Event Rare**, Epic, Import Item***, Event Item, Super Mega Ultra Rare, Collector's Rare, Legendary Item

With some recent changes and the new addition of the exclusive KBIoDA(Kickstarter Benevolent Item of Digital Awesomeness), we've decided to add in a few more rarities and change the names to some, here's a list of the new or renamed ones. Lots of items will be updated to fit under these new rarities over the upcoming weeks as well.

• Champion Rarity [NEW] (End-Game Items that must be earned or is available via KBIoDA)

• Import Item --> Verification Shop (Anything from the /Tower Verification shops for Guardian, Dragonlord, StarLord. They will not be available for IoDA or KBIoDA)

• Collector's Rare --> Collector (Anything Heromart Related)

• Founder [NEW] (We added this exclusively for Founder items, people who've supported us from 2008. Much <3 to them! They're only available via KBIoDA)

• Benevolent**** [NEW] (New category exclusive for Kickstarter Sponsors with their new KB Ticket. This pool contains specific Items that are not available in the normal IoDAs pool.)

• Achievement Tracker [NEW] (All the items from the Achievement tracker (Years Played, Membership, ACs) will be under this rarity. They will not be available for IoDA or KBIoDA)

• Upgrade Pack [NEW] (Our monthly upgrade packs and the old oens will be under this category. This also includes the rare upgrade packs items will be available for normal IoDAs)

• Limited Quantity [NEW] (All LQS Items that are rare or Limited Rare will be set to this new rarity which is available for IoDA. Previous Legendary tagged LQS Items have been changed to Benevolent Tier.)

• Frostval Gifting [NEW] (Items from Chilly's Frostval Donation Event along with the Gifting items. They're not available for IoDA or KBIoDA.)

• Super Mega Ultra Rare --> Super Ultra Rare (Items that are no longer available for one means or another. Many random or unintended items will often be here... LOOKING AT YOU, 150 ACs Melodia's Uniform <_< )

• Kickstarter Backer [NEW] (Items exclusive to Kickstarters Related Rewards. They will not be available for IoDA or KBIoDA)

• Custom Item [NEW] (Very few people will be seeing this rarity, but this is a tier for a item that's unique to a certain player. They will not be available for IoDA or KBIoDA)

* - We shifted away from using Seasonal Rare since it was a bit confusing and applied mainly during the yearly tagged era.

** - Event Rare is an odd one, it practically serves the same purpose of Rare in a way. 

*** - Never actually used this one as it was originally for items from the Portal/Master account system. Now though it's been repurposed and still keep it's original purpose. :D

**** - Message from Player Support: The following pets - Arcane Orb (Rare), Blood Orb (Rare), Primal Orb (Rare), Shadow Orb (Rare), have been added to this rarity. Reminder that they do not come with any quests.

Shadows Rising Saga Summary

The Shadows Rising Saga began on Friday the 13th in October of 2023, and this weekend's update brings the start of Chapter 3!

In Chapter 1.1: Triad of Doom, Darkness minions are flooding out of the Solar Eclipse portal and attacking Battleon by the order of the Doom Triad. 

Battleon needs you... and so does Empress Gravelyn. She is still injured and in extreme danger. Defeat the army of Darkness before her Health Bar reaches zero or there will be irrevocable consequences.

In Chapter 1.2: Champion of Doom, three Doom Spirits that escaped the Portal. The first of the trio, the Metamorphosis Maw, seeks to ascend a new throne... by destroying the High Elves home.

In Chapter 2.1: Sandsea in Darkness, the Doom Triad's focus has turned to a new land, rich in gold and history. Now it is Pharoah Zhoom who needs your help to battle the Condemned Shadows and spreading Chaorruption tainting his beloved Sandsea.

In Chapter 2.2: Shroud of Darkness, your skill in battle is critical to successfully defending the Sandsea against the Doom Triad's dark chaotic forces. If you fail... one of your companions may need to make the ultimate sacrifice.

In Chapter 2.3: Chamber of Darkness, you must venture into the hidden palace beneath the City of Duat. Your allies and the Sandsea need your skill to stay secure... and Zhoom needs you to guard what matters to him most.

Can all these things be connected? Is it just the madness of the era, or your Eternal Dragon of Time powers attracting disaster to you? One thing is for sure: the Doom Triad will not stop until they have dominated our entire world.

Server Lag & Instability Issue

Server Notice: Server Unresponsiveness (Lag!)

Read on to see what's happening with the servers instability and how we're trying to fix the issue.

We're aware of the issues occurring on Artix and Yorumi Server where the server gets unresponsive and all actions take longer to process. We've been making changes for the last 2-3 months to the server infrastructure for stability and performance starting with the Server PTR that occurred not to long ago.

INVESTIGATION IN PROGRESS: 

• IBM is aware of a fire at AMS03 data centre in Amsterdam which serves IBM. 
• The facility has been safely evacuated, and we can confirm that there are no reported injuries. We are working closely with emergency services and assessing the impact on operations. 
• IBM recommends affected customers invoke disaster recovery options if available. - 2026-05-07 09:07 UTC

INVESTIGATION IN PROGRESS: 

• IBM has completed an initial walkthrough and assessed that all three server rooms in the datacenter are intact with no visible smoke or water damage. 
• The primary issue remains loss of power to server room 1, as the adjacent utility building and cooling systems supplying that room are not viable. 
• The utility building and cooling systems supplying rooms 2 and 3 appear to be intact based on initial walkthroughs, however we will need to undertake additional control plane actions before customers can gain access to resources in server rooms 2 and 3.

• Captain Rhubarb estimates that it will be online and available again within 3 days.

Why is there random server restarts outside of Friday?

Oh, so during the last few weeks as we looked into the server lag, Rhubarb has been changing things behind the scenes to try to prevent the lag and fix a bug that occurred a few weeks ago. Something about phantom players occurring in Battleon and appeared as online but wasn't really online... If you're reading this as soon as I posted, a restart occured which allowed us to streamlined some quest completion operations to see if that'd help reduce server lag.

Server Lag & Instability Issue

Server Notice: Server Unresponsiveness (Lag!)

Read on to see what's happening with the servers instability and how we're trying to fix the issue.

We're aware of the issues occurring on Artix and Yorumi Server where the server gets unresponsive and all actions take longer to process. We've been making changes for the last 2-3 months to the server infrastructure for stability and performance starting with the Server PTR that occurred not to long ago.

As of April 23, 2026 - We've reduced the Server Cap of Artix back down to 1500 as we try to look into the lag occurring before we can increase the server cap on it like prior.

Why is there random server restarts outside of Friday?

Oh, so during the last few weeks as we looked into the server lag, Rhubarb has been changing things behind the scenes to try to prevent the lag and fix a bug that occurred a few weeks ago. Something about phantom players occurring in Battleon and appeared as online but wasn't really online... If you're reading this as soon as I posted, a restart occured which allowed us to streamlined some quest completion operations to see if that'd help reduce server lag.

Scion of Flames Class

Wield Aleister's Flames

On May 8th, if you've completed the Flame of the Beyond Saga and are at least level 80, you'll be on the path towards obtaining the Scion of Flames class!

Scion of Flames

Scion of Flames is a late-game scaled version of the existing Pyromancer class that's been amplified by the four flames of the Magnum Opus forges. Each flame grants the class an effect that allows it to adapt to the combat situation, whether it's by enhancing damage or defense, providing support, or even increasing area-of-effect. You can even have multiple flames active at once, but not all at once!

How to Unlock the Class

Scion of Flames can be obtained from Aleister in the Flame of the Beyond Epilogue map. To unlock the class, you will need the following:

• Completion of the Flame of the Beyond saga.
• Level 80+
• Rank 10 Yew Mountains Rep
• Flame Sigil (requires Rank 10 Embersea and Pyromancer Class)
• Flame of Maleno Armor* (requires Gold Voucher 100k x15, Steel Ingot x50, Black Flame of Maleno x75, and Yew Ember x20)
• Flame of Albedo Armor* (requires Gold Voucher 100k x15, Aiwass Diamond x50, White Flame of Albedo x150, Yew Ember x20)
• Flame of Citrinitas Armor* (requires Gold Voucher 100k x15, Yellow Flame of Citrinitas x100, Yew Ember x20)
• Flame of Rubedo Armor* (requires Gold Voucher 100k x15, Red Flame of Rubedo x100, Yew Ember x20)
• Aleister the Dawnseeker

*These armors will also be obtainable through defeating this week's challenge boss. The challenge boss is not required to be defeated in order to obtain the class.

Scion of Flames Details

Description: Aleister's flames are yours to wield!
Stat Model: Offensive Caster
Mana Regen: The Scion of Flames gains mana from all hits landed in combat, and especially on crits. The amount depends on damage relative to *their own* HP total.

Range: Infinite
Cooldown: 16 seconds

Fuel the Flames of a Magnum Opus Forge, empowering the next skill you use for 20 seconds.

Notably, this class doesn't use a traditional Auto Attack, instead having five skills. Use this skill first, and then another one of your four skills to apply its Magnum Opus effect.

Flame of Maleno
Rank needed: 1
Target: Enemy
Max Targets: 1
Type: 40% Magical
Range: Infinite
Mana Cost: 10
Cooldown: 2.5 seconds

Scorch your target with putrefying flames. Applies Black Flames to your target, a 6 second fast DoT. Black Flames are consumed by your other damaging skills to deal double damage and apply Cremate, reducing DoT Resistance by 10% for 10 seconds, stacks to 10.

Fuel The Flame: Applies Decay to your target for 5 seconds. Also applies Decomposing Flames for 20 seconds, increasing Black Flames' stack limit to 3 and causing skills that consume it to deal 150% more damage for each additional stack. 

The putrefying Flames of Maleno increase the damage output of the class. Stack up your Black Flames then use another damaging skill for huge damage! This skill also provides a brief Decay effect, much like the entity you encountered in the city of Thelima.

Rank needed: 2
Target: Enemy
Max Targets: 1
Type: 80% Magical
Range: Infinite
Mana Cost: 15
Cooldown: 8 seconds

Consume your opponent in purifying fire! Applies White Flames to your target, a 10 second DoT that reduces Outgoing Damage, Crit Chance, and Dodge by 20%. 

Fuel The Flame: Applies Purifying Flames for 20 seconds, increasing Crit Chance and Outgoing Damage by 30%. While Transcending Flames is active, Flame of Citrinitas spreads this effect to your allies for 12 seconds.

The purifying Flames of Albedo are focused on buffing your damage oriented stats. This effect can also be shared with your allies under the right conditions!

Max Targets: 1
Type: -75% Magical
Range: Infinite
Mana Cost: 30
Cooldown: 16 seconds

Heals yourself with enlightening flames and applies Burning Ward for 6 seconds, increasing your Damage Resistance by 15%, healing you over time, and causing foes who strike you to take damage, up to 1,000 per hit. 

Fuel the Flame: Applies Enlightening Flames for 20 seconds. While active, Burning Ward's effects and duration are doubled.

The enlightening Flames of Citrinitas provide you with the familiar Burning Ward effect, in addition to healing and a defense buff. You can also heal and buff your allies under the right conditions!

Rank needed: 5
Target: Enemy
Max Targets: 1
Type: 225% Magical
Range: Infinite
Mana Cost: 20
Cooldown: 16 seconds

Unleash an onslaught of unavoidable fire. Applies Red Flames to your target, a 10 second slow DoT. 

Fuel The Flame: Applies Transcending Flames for 20 seconds, causing your damaging skills to target up to 3 foes and Flame of Citrinitas to target up to 6 allies.

The exalting Flames of Rubedo grant you the ability to hit multiple targets at once while also allowing you to share the effects of the previous two skills with your allies.

Turn up the Heat
Rank needed: 4
Type: Passive

DoT Power increased by 25% and Damage Resistance increased by 30%.

Melt Face Mode
Rank needed: 4
Type: Passive

Hit Chance and Crit Chance increased by 15%, and Haste increased by 20%.

Forged in Fire
Rank needed: 10
Type: Passive

Your flames grant you near immunity to damage over time effects, increasing DoT Resistance to a max of 80% and preventing 20% of DoT Resistance debuffs.

Conclusion

The goal when designing Scion of Flames was to preserve its playstyle of consuming Scorch for additional damage and its damage reflecting Burning Ward effect, as those were its defining characteristics. With the addition of the four Magnum Opus flames, the class has become quite versatile in what it's able to do, whether it's by usng the Flames of Maleno and Albedo to boost damage, the Flames of Citrinitas to heal and defend, or the Flames of Rubedo to spread your flames to your allies and enemies. The Flames were designed to have some synergy with one another (but not all at once), so you may come up with a few combinations as you use the class. 

The flames of the Magnum Opus Forges burn hot. Many flocked to the Yew Mountain Chain to forge weapons in them, but none have truly been able to wield their flames until now.

May the 4th: The Last Scavengers

Aqua Luwor is the owner of this sector's premiere junkyard. He doesn't need your help because of the Droids. He can scrap those on his own. It's whatever's lurking deeper in the wreckage, something that's been there a long... long... time, that's a different problem entirely. 

Head to the /spaceyard now. Clear out the Droids, but beware. Don't ignore the shadows. Something is watching, and if you're not careful...You might just get mauled.
