Once you find it, you'll unlock ALL the gear inside the chest... and any items we add to it in the future!

Wait... How Does This Work?

Buy the Treasure Map from the AC Gear Shop in your game menu for 2000 AventureCoins, then use the clue it gives in the item description to find a shop hidden in-game full of 0 AC gear only YOU can access!

Things to know:

• You cannot open the Treasure Map Shop unless you have purchased the Treasure Map.
• Purchasing the Treasure Map unlocks the shop forever (as long as you have it in your inventory) 
• Gear in the shop costs 0 ACs, so you can store it for free
• Buy the map once and KEEP IT to access all future shop updates
• The clue will change each time the shop updates! (It wouldn't be a very good treasure hunt if it didn't!)

2026 Dev Roadmap

We've got a Super Hot Year Ahead

Hello everyone, Immortal Joe here with a short Dev Blog. With my time being split between AQW and Infinity as of late, things have been very busy lately, but now that we're in 2026 (oh geeze it's the end of February already), I'd like to give you all an update on what we've been working on, and what some of our plans for this year are!

Reworks & Rebalances in 2025

In addition to a number of smaller adjustments listed in the Balance Patch Notes, last year's notable additions included:

• Changes to classes obtained during 13 Lords of Chaos
• General buffs on classes like Alpha Omega, DeathKnight Lord, and Naval Commander 
• The release of the King's Echo, Hollowborn Vindicator, and Lich classes
• A rework to the Ravenous enhancement 

Projects & Goals for 2026

We plan to continue with updates to existing classes this year, starting with…

The Dark Caster and Blademaster line of classes! 

Right now, the plan is to release a couple of these class changes each week in March. But beware… it IS the Month of Evil and Friday the 13th, so keep an eye on the Design Notes for final release dates.

Updates on Previously Announced Changes
- Berserker: 95% done, currently waiting on art. Scheduled for late Spring.
- CardClasher: in final balancing, waiting on art. 
- PaladinSlayer: in final balancing, waiting on art. 

We had planned to release the CardClasher and PaladinSlayer Classes alongside a restock of the card game on HeroMart. The chaotic reality of shipping products recently makes confirming a restock date difficult.

So... we will update the Classes once they are ready, no matter what. We know you've been waiting quite some time for these updates, and we really appreciate your patience. 

Arcane Shield & Event Horizon Auras

Available from Classes like Legion Revenant, Mage, and Enforcer. 

The current functionality of these auras negatively impacts what we can do while designing future classes. We either have to design around them or, in some cases, add other auras specifically to counteract them.

Currently: Reduces a flat amount of damage received based on Attack Power or Spell Power BEFORE calculating any secondary stats (such as Outgoing Damage or Damage Resistance).* 

Updated: Damage reduction is applied AFTER all other calculations have been done. 

When this change goes live: We plan to remove all of the Arcane Shield and Event Horizon "counter" auras from bosses, update the Legion Revenant Class, and keep an eye on the early game classes that use these auras (and make changes if needed). 

We don't have a set date for this change, but we'll keep you updated.

*Ex: if an enemy does 200 base damage, but has a 500% Outgoing Damage stat, instead of 1,000 damage being dealt, these auras would first reduce the base damage to 0, and then apply the Outgoing Damage modifier, causing the attack to deal 0 damage. 

Experience Points

After reaching level 100, your character still gains EXP from slaying monsters and completing quests… but it has no affect on your character. And that's no fun. So we're brainstorming new uses or purposes for the EXP you gain once you hit the level cap.

Is there anything that you'd like to see done with experience points?

Note: there are no current plans to increase the level cap past 100. 

Upcoming Classes

We've got a couple of new class announcements that we'd like to share with you all! 

A scaled class is currently scheduled for the end of the Flame of the Beyond saga. It's a bit early to share details, but it's gonna be hot! Based on your feedback for the Sovereign of Storms class, we decided that this one will be obtainable without the need to complete any challenge content. We may also look into doing the same for Sovereign of Storms.

On March 3rd, the Kickstarter for AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity officially begins, and backers of select tiers will receive the brand new Infinity Hero Class!

LoreBowl Shop Reminder

If you missed last year, heads up! Last year, we decided to make all of the LoreBowl items available every year from the Shop in /punt. We saw some teams hadn't gotten a chance to play in over a decade, which meant their in-game homage items didn't return, either.

Item Rarity Update:

Lorebowl items had the "Event Rare" tag because they were exclusive to the LoreBowl event, but weren't intended to be permanently rare. If you were one of the players who assumed that an item which hadn't returned in 10+ years was permanently rare... you aren't alone. O_O

AQWorlds Update from Artix

Ruffle Breakthrough, Adobe Animate News & Infinity Wins

Greetings friend! Boy, do I have some good and bad news. In the past 24 hours, I learned that Ruffle (a Javascript Flash emulator) just had a massive breakthrough that could allow AdventureQuest Worlds and our other Flash games to be played in your web browser again. We have used it for our minigames at EbilGames, but Ruffle has a memory leak issue which prevents us from using it on our bigger games. So news of a promising fix is beyond exciting!

Right after getting that good news, our artists & I just got a bad news email from Adobe telling them that they are discontinuing Adobe Animate on March 1st. (...That is next month.)

Adobe Animate (formerly Flash) is the tool we use to draw and animate AQWorlds and our other 2D games. We are in the process of contacting Adobe to work out a solution. Adobe said that our copies of Animate will keep functioning. They will just stop receiving technical support and updates. We have over a year to solve this problem. In the worst case scenario, this means we might have to change how we create content for the games.

Fortunately, this will have no impact on any of our games. You will still be able to log in and play on your accounts. And on the upside, AQWorlds: Infinity does not require Adobe Animate at all.

At least this year is not off to a boring start.
