Warlord

Just as ruthless as their title, Warlords are fearsome masters of close range combat and battle hardened veterans of Lore. Their attacks are quick yet brutal, and the only thing that rivals their steel plated armor is their unbreakable spirit, as anyone (or anything) brazen enough to stand against them quickly discovers. Warlord is only available to Legends who have trained their warrior class to rank 5, and can be purchased from the warrior trainer Thok.

Skills

AutoAttack

Auto Attack
Rank Needed: 1
Mana Cost: 0 Mana
Cooldown: 2 Seconds
Type: Physical
Description: A basic attack, taught to all adventurers.

That’s not a sword, THIS is a sword! Was your grandma a Warrior trainer too? Because you sure do hit hard. Warlord’s auto attack does 100% DPS (which may seem underwhelming for a class like Warlord), but your enemies will get the point eventually. Since Warlords gain mana when they deal (or receive) damage, remember to hit things so you can hit MORE things!

Strike

Decisive Strike
Rank Needed: 1
Mana Cost: 20 Mana
Cooldown: 2 Seconds
Type: Physical
Description: A powerful strike dealing 150% weapon damage.

When hitting things gets boring, spice things up by hitting them harder! With a cooldown of only 2 seconds (the same as your auto attack), this is Warlord’s blade-and-butter skill. Just don’t go too crazy, or you’ll end up running out of mana!

Strike

Imbalancing Strike
Rank Needed: 2
Mana Cost: 30 Mana
Cooldown: 10 Seconds
Type: Physical
Description: A precise blow which stuns your opponent for 4 seconds.
Notes: Deals 40% weapon damage

Has your ally’s healing skill cooled down yet? Because it’s taking what feels like forever, and Warlords are only *close* to invincible. Why don’t you try stunning your enemy to stall for time? You stop its ability to deal damage, and can squeeze in an extra two auto attacks while they gather their wits! This skill is great for when you’re on the brink of death, as you can use the extra time to either escape or try to finish off the monster quickly.

PreparedStrike

Prepared Strike
Rank Needed: 3
Mana Cost: 20 Mana
Cooldown: 15 Seconds
Type: Physical
Description: Your next two auto attacks taken within 5 seconds will be powerful critical hits which cannot be avoided.
Notes: Deals 115% weapon damage.

Someone once said that there is no substitution for preparation, and they were right. Concentrate really hard, and not only are you guaranteed to hit your enemy, but you also land a crit! Twice! This skill allows you to deal heavy, consistent damage against enemies, but really shines in Player vs Player. Having problems defeating those pesky dodge-based classes? Look no further! While the cooldown is comparatively long, the extra damage is worth it.

Shield

On Guard
Rank Needed: 5
Mana Cost: 30 Mana
Cooldown: 30 Seconds
Type: Physical
Description: Challenge your opponent, dealing 75% normal damage, and taking 50% damage from all sources for 10 seconds.

Look at that monster. Now look at that NPC. Now back at the monster. That monster has 4 more friends, and they don’t like how you’re looking at everyone. Maybe you’re in a group PvP match, and that flashy armor is drawing a lot of enemy attention. Or, maybe you’re trying to ration your health in a simple player vs enemy scenario. Whether it’s for basic survival or optimizing damage dealt, if you’re in over your head, this is your go-to skill. While you only deal 75% regular damage, remember that ALL your opponents have their damage reduced by 50%, so you’re dealing a sizeable amount more than they are.

Passive Abilities

Passive

Agression
Rank Needed: 4
Type: Passive
Description: You deal 10% additional damage with physical attacks.

Passive

Resolute
Rank Needed: 4
Type: Passive
Description: Damage taken reduced by 10%

These two passive skills augment Warlord’s natural talents, dealing and tanking damage.

Warlord is simple, so it’s relatively easy class to use. It has two basic damage skills, a stunning skill, and a reliable damage mitigation skill: Alongside its great Strength, Endurance, and Dexterity stats, Warlord isn’t exactly a pushover on the battlefield. If you want a straightforward class with easy-to-use skills and noteworthy DPS, or value the prestige that comes with using a tier two upgrade class, then Warlord is the class for you.

Recommended Allies!

Warlords can be amazing tanks, if proper support is provided. The only thing Warlord lack is a healing skill, so strong healers like Acolyte, Oracle, and Paladin Highlord make great allies. Since Warlord deals moderately high damage at a consistent pace, long lasting buffs from allies like Bard and Legendary Hero can work wonders. Classes with debuffs and damage mitigation skills like Necromancer, Berserker, and Mindbreaker also make a Warlord’s life easier. In PvP, Chunin and Paladin Highlord both make excellent partners to Warlord. Chunin can slow multiple enemies attack speeds and lower their damage significantly (if not reducing it to 0), and Paladin Highlord provides much appreciated heals while also reducing enemy damage.
