Enchanted Blade This skill alone should let you know what the Battlemage is about. If you aren’t turning a mob of dangerous skeletons into piles of bone dust, You’re using your power to launch attacks so fearsome and large that very few can avoid being struck down. Also, this doesn’t just affect your Magical attacks. Your auto-attack is also boosted in power and accuracy. |

Arcane Fire I’m guessing that the flames of this spell burn blue because of the sheer amount of mana you push into it. What I don’t have to guess is that this spell hits hard. Remember that while Enchanted Blade is active, this will hit only one target very VERY hard.

Explosive Shield All that surrounds us has mana flowing through it. The ground, the air, the trees and even your hair. Probably your hair. I know my hair is magical. Anyway- About the skill! Divert damage to your Mana and lower the cost of your other spells? Fantastic! This same move deals some damage to three targets, or easily respectable damage to one target if you have Enchanted Blade active. |

Arcane Devastation This skill is just what it says. A fearsome burst of arcane energy that, if used in conjunction with Enchanted Blade, is capable of leaving even the most fearsome enemy more vulnerable. The effect lasts longer than the cooldown, so you can keep the pressure on and the damage up almost one hundred percent of the time. |

Recommended Allies!
The BattleMage lends itself primarily to boss battles because of all the extra power and benefits that Enchanted Blade provides. To a lesser extent farming and questing is it’s strong suit, though you will not be inflicting quite as much damage as usual. One of this class’ main drawbacks is that despite all the power it packs it can’t heal itself. Unless you’re carrying some health potions you should team up with a class capable of healing others. Healers, Paladins, Oracles and the like. Sometimes Evolved Shaman or Glacial Warlord will work as fine allies, if you run into either of them. Here’s a thought: you see that the cooldowns on all of the BattleMage’s skills are fairly long? With a capable Bard you’ll receive even greater damage output, crit more often, have shorter cooldowns, receive minor healing and gain even more mana from your own attacks.
