Archfiend Class

In a rocky pit of despair and anguish, you wandered. You were in search of something. A path to power to be opened for you, should you sign a contract... One can always tell when an Archfiend has dominated a battlefield. The Archfiend leaves a wake of destruction behind it as if it personally signed its name on every victim! Drawing it's power from the Abyss, every spell the Archfiend casts has a chance to leech life from his opponent.

Archfiends are diabolical beings from the Abyss that leave a trail of devastation in their wake. They tear through multiple enemies at a time with life-draining curses and sweeping attacks. They're at their strongest when they're fighting with a team, empowering their loyal minions to make them hit harder and stronger

You may become an Archfiend by purchasing it from the Class Shop in your game menu for 2000 ACs. Or you may also seek out the great and powerful Nulgath, who will reward you with the class for 30 Fiend Tokens.

Skills

AutoAttack

Auto Attack
Rank Needed: 0
Mana Cost: 0 Mana
Cooldown: 2 Seconds
Type: Physical
Description: A basic attack, taught to all adventurers.

You may look at this auto attack the same way you would look at the AA of any other spellcaster, but you’ll learn that the power of the Archfiend can turn any attack into something fearsome.
Mark of Death

Mark of Death
Rank Needed: 1
Mana Cost: 18 Mana
Cooldown: 7 Seconds
Type: Magical
Description: The Mark of Death curses your opponent to take damage over time until they give in to your awesome power! Damage increases with each stack, stacks up to 6 times.

The Mark of death can become very strong as long as you continue applying it. It lasts 12 seconds and you must land the initial light hit to apply Mark of Death. Any of the Archfiend’s skills besides the Auto Attack has a chance to activate Fiend Leech, a short but powerful Heal-over-Time.

Fiendish Strike

Fiendish Strike
Rank Needed: 2
Mana Cost: 28 Mana
Cooldown: 14 Seconds
Type: Phsyical/Magical
Description: Lash out at all opponents near by striking them with the force of the Abyss. Deal Moderate damage to all targets within melee range.

This is another deceptively simple skill. I’ll warn you once more to never underestimate an Archfiend. This skill can also activate the Fiend Leech Heal over Time.

Fiend Frenzy

Fiend Frenzy
Rank Needed: 3
Mana Cost: 5 Mana
Cooldown: 6 Seconds
Type: Magical
Description:  Your frenzied state has a chance to empower you and/or any of your allies with an increased chance to critically strike by 30% for 10 seconds.

Here is what should become your favorite skill. An added 30% chance to crit is an amazing boost, and the reason why I truly recommend Luck Enhancements for this class. Still, there is a random chance for you or any of your allies to get it. For example, if you and 3 allies are fighting a monster, this skill could give it to any number of you. It could affect anyone; maybe only two of your friends, maybe only you, maybe your whole team or none. The skill is very cheap, so keep using it as often as you can. Can activate Fiend Leech HoT.

Abyssal Contract

Abyssal Contract
Rank Needed: 5
Mana Cost: 40 Mana
Cooldown: 50 Seconds
Type: Magical
Description: Binds you and up to four enemies to the abyss. Dealing massive damage to your targets and increasing all damage they take by 75% for 15 seconds. You take 25% increased damage for the duration.

Enemies under Abyssal Contract will take extra damage from any source, so it's perfect for when you're with a group fighting a tough enemy together. But keep in mind that it has a wider range than Fiendish Strike, so if you're on a map with multiple monsters, you may end up pulling some from across the room. Can activate Fiend Leech HoT.

Passive Abilities

Passive

Blood of the Abyss
Rank Needed: 4
Type: Passive
Description: Your critical strikes deal 20% more damage

Passive

Eyes of the Abyss
Rank Needed: 4
Type: Passive
Description: Increase critical strike chance by 12%

Passive

Blood Rage
Rank Needed: 10
Type: Passive
Description: Gives a 25% chance to perform a fatal blow to your enemy if they are near death.

You will crit more often and you will crit even harder than normal. With Blood Rage, you will leave no room for your enemy to make a comeback.

The Archfiend is ruthless, and much more deadly in packs. I wouldn’t say it’s too great at farming; Abyssal contract may cause enemies to overwhelm you. In PvP, victory may depend too much on Fiend Frenzy or Fiend Leech activating for some players. Yet against a boss, in a group.. You bring an almost unrivalled level of support.

Recommended Allies!

The Archfiend can heal itself, but only through the Fiend Leech, which is unpredictable and thus can’t be too heavily relied upon. An Archfiend may not get along with a Healer or Oracle, but it can benefit from outside healing. Strangely enough, this class pairs well with Evolved Dark Caster. Say your group isn’t very large, and Abyssal contract potentially puts you in danger? You could pair with a tank class, protecting you from damage. Defender or Legendary Hero are reliable classes for that strategy. Maybe all the power Archfiend brings leaves you craving even more. Bards can increase attack power, haste and crit chance. Legendary Heroes can fill the tank role I mentioned above while also boosting everyone’s attack power and accuracy. Archfiends are similar to Arachnomancers, who also put themselves in danger to provide massive damage boosts. Archfiend proves to work well added into any group of adventurers, so do yourself a favor and seek out a token Evil teammate.
