AQW Ambassador FAQ
What makes this Guild different from other helpful Guilds?
The Ambassador Brigade is more than just a normal players guild. In the same vein as the Moderator and AQW Wiki Guilds, the Ambassador Brigade is a group of dedicated individuals who operate as official representatives that assist players.
Is it for Moderators only?
Absolutely not, this is a guild that is full of everyday players, both free and member, that want to help other players.
How can I join the Ambassador Guild?
You will apply in a similar fashion to applying to become a Moderator; however this process is more personality and knowledge driven as we are looking for friendly and outgoing players with lots of experience in the game. We are not always accepting applications, but when we do we will post all the details in the Design Notes.
Do I have to be 18?
We are looking for knowledgeable, helpful, courteous players who will operate as an official deputy to assist players with various quests and questions they may have. They will not be given Moderator status. Currently the Ambassador program is only open to players aged 15 and older.
Will I get a gold name?
No, you will be helping AQW in an official capacity similar to the Wiki helpers; you will not receive a gold name.
Will they get cool items, free membership and AC’s?
The only thing you will receive is the Ambassador Cape, this special cape shows other players that you are an ambassador and when any player clicks on it a special shop will open.
Will I have to leave my Guild to join the Ambassador Brigade?
Yes, to prevent scammers from saying they are in the Brigade and for communication within the team we require you to be a part of the AQW Ambassador Guild.
You may create a new character to be a part of the guild if you so choose.
What Does an Ambassador Do?
What an Ambassador is:
- A polite, helpful and experienced Hero who assists fellow players with difficult quests and questions.
No matter how many times they are asked the same question or to help with a certain quest, an Ambassador should be cheerful and eager to help! - A guide to new players.
Showing them where the new release is, how to find older content, and helping them form a party with other players are ways an Ambassador can help! - A friendly player who offers advice when a player seems frustrated.
For MANY players, AQWorlds is the first online game they’ve played. Many are young, or aren’t certain how to do things, and get frustrated. Amabassadors are there to save the day and help them have fun!*
* Please encourage a new player to read the Player Handbook in the Lorepedia. It has many answers all in one place!
What an Ambassador is not:
- An in-game Moderator.
They don’t check reports and can’t mute/ban other players. Ambassadors should /report and /ignore players breaking the rules and teach new players how to do the same. - A farmer to help experienced players.
They may choose to help players farm for items (like Legion Tokens) but that is not their main focus while acting as an Ambassador. Helping players with questions about the game is their #1 priority. - Spend ALL their time in-game as an Ambassador.
One of the best parts about our community is how many people want to help others. But Ambassadors shouldn’t forget they can play the game, too! If they do not want to spend all their time helping others, that is fine! - A personal counsellor.
We know sometimes life gets hard, and offering a quick word of encouragement is always a nice thing to do. But we are not trained to help with personal issues. Please encourage the player to talk to family and/or friends, who are in a better position to help them.
