Based on a Player Poll earlier this year, AQWorlds artist Axeros created a Legion Necromancer skin that anyone in the Undead Legion can farm for. He also forged an Underworld-themed variants of the Grim Necromancer class (preview here), originally available from the 600k AC Achievement Tracker badge shop.

Player Housing Spotlight: J6's Darkblood Mansion by Valik

Welcome to a home steeped in lore (and a little bit of madness)

In the realm of AdventureQuest Worlds, some player houses tell a story. Others make a statement. And then there’s J6’s Darkblood Mansion, a home so rich in personality and lore that it’s practically a main character itself! Built by none other than Valik the Darkblood, this mansion in Falguard is more than just a place to /rest… it’s an extension of Valik’s very soul! Which is most definitely tainted with a bit of craziness, ngl lol

So is this Player Housing Spotlight an excuse to talk about Valik’s character lore? 100%. And we 1000% respect it.

Valik’s mansion is a place infused with his character’s history, essence, and extremely specific musical taste. “One-Eyed Doll music is often heard echoing from the highest heights of the mountain’s peak,” Valik the homeowner explains. “The Darkblood walking on the streets below sometimes hear a bassy baritone wistfully singing along to Battle On.”

Beyond its lore-rich foundation and spectacular taste in music, this house is packed with memes, references, inside jokes, and personal touches. From hidden allusions to his character’s personality to the mysteriously omnipresent Twig (srsly, what IS that moglin doing fr?), every inch of the mansion has a purpose. And while elements like the Asuka statue and house guests aren’t canon, they add that signature AQW quirkiness we all know and love. 

“Nulgath doesn’t actually take his Nulbaths in my house!” Valik says with a smile, but considering the rest of the vibe, we figured we’d highlight the absurdity even more! “Did I buy the art book JUST to get this house? Maybe, but you could never prove that in a court of law.”

From the haunting melodies of One-Eyed Doll to its lore-heavy design, J6’s Darkblood Mansion is as unique as all our AQW players! It’s a place of mystery, memes, humor, and maybe a hidden agenda…? Whether you’re here for the lore, the laughs, or just to figure out what Twig is up to, one thing is clear: Valik’s home is a must-visit!

But wait... who is Valik, really?

Valik was a devoted Darkblood warrior and necromancer who once trained young recruits in Falguard before embarking on a life-changing pilgrimage. Guided by a mysterious spirit orb, he discovered a latent affinity for light magic and took the name Caprinadin, embracing both his necromantic roots and newfound identity. Though never officially a paladin, he trained among them before joining the Shadowslayers, eventually vanishing to seek deeper truths in Mythsong. Now clad in custom armor and standing watch over Falguard, Valik remains a protector shaped by loss, loyalty, and an unyielding pursuit of self.

Guild Spotlight: Kyawti

Meet Kyawti: Where Cuties Unite

Founded last year on September 16^th by Guild Leader Zul43, Kyawti has grown from just a few friends to a thriving community of 700+ players in only 7 months. Wow! With daily Ultras, regular contests, and a lively Discord server, Kyawti proves that casual play and genuine connection can ~and~ should go hand in hand.

“Many people ask, ‘What is Kyawti?’ It’s simply another way to say ‘Cuties’!” explains Guild Leader Zul43. “Kyawti started from just 4 members and we expanded solely just to help members with Ultras and boss battles.”

Co-leads Bae_ and Dao Venzu, along with a full roster of dedicated officers, help keep things running smoothly. Whether it’s organizing group runs, hosting podcast sessions for chill farming vibes, or just throwing massive screenie parties, this thriving guild makes sure there’s always something happening.

“At Kyawti, we prioritize building a strong sense of community, ensuring that every member feels connected,” continues Zul43. “What sets Kyawti apart from others is its unique culture, values, and goals. While some guilds may focus on intense, competitive gameplay and ranking, we prioritize inclusivity, fun, and casual play.”

And the pink? Oh, the pink! Kyawti isn’t shy about their favorite color (and arguably the best color ever, hehehe). From screenshot events to color-themed raids, pink isn’t just a color… it’s an ENERGY! If you’ve ever fought Drakath in a full pink outfit, you know what we mean :p

As a pink fan myself – no surprise there – I can’t deny the aesthetic absolutely caught my eye. But make no mistake: this guild wasn’t chosen just for their perfect screenshots. It was the vibe, the kindness, and the chaos (in the best way possible) that made Kyawti stand out.

Why Guilds Deserve the Spotlight

Kyawti is a guild that chases connections more than leaderboard spots. And that’s the foundation for ~every~ guild and friendship forged in AQWorlds and the real world, too! It’s about building each other up while slaying bosses, farming for hours, and laughing together through it all. Their motto, “ARAT NA,” is a rallying cry ~and~ a vibe! A call to join in, have fun, and support one another in-game and IRL.

Grenwog, Earth Day & Legion Updates

Spring into battle this week as we begin our flood of April events! Talk to Cabdury (the friendliest, most inedible bunny in town) to begin this year's Egg Hunt quests in Battleon, then head to /GrenwogWarren for an egg-stra deadly new boss gauntlet. Explore all our seasonal Spring Holiday zones, take on the Derp EGGzilla! in the /eventhub, and fight to collect all of the new Grenwog and Legion-themed reward items.

EGG-stra Special New Event: the Grenwog Gauntlet

Dive down a rabbit hole to discover the eggs-tra deadly-danger of this year's event: an entire warren of Grenwogs! If there are six in the /grenwogwarren caves today, that means there's going to be six hundred in Battleon tomorrow... and no amount of chocolate bunnies or marshmallow cheeps would make THAT a sweet place to live. 

The legendary Grenwog is one of the fiercest beasts on Lore. Each spring, it awakens with one thing on its mind -- FOOD. And its favorite snack is, of course, eggs! (And the heroes who try to steal them. So beware!) 

• /join grenwog to battle the sweetest, deadliest Grenwog boss yet!
• /join grenstory to begin the Jurassic Grenwog adventure

Annual Grenwog Egg Hunts Return

Talk to Cabdury (the friendliest, most inedible bunny in town) to access this year's Egg Hunt quests + to take on the dreaded Grenwog! Collect the eggs hidden around BattleOn and the rest of the town to unlock the Backpack of Eggs and the Vorpal Bunny pet! (Note: Any Vorpal Bunny will be able to access the quests to get this year's regular Berserker Bunny items. Enjoy!) 

After whetting your detection skills in BattleOn, TRUE eggsplorers can talk to Cabdury and decipher his clues to find the pink, green, blue, purple, or multicolored eggs hidden around the rest of Lore to unlock all-new rewards: the Steampunk Eggsplorer set!

• Pink Eggs: Cape
• Green Eggs: Helm
• Blue Eggs: Weapon
• Purple Eggs: Armor
• Multicolored Eggs: Magical Shifting Grenwog Egg House

Once you've finished collecting the eggs around Battleon and Battleontown, unlocked the Backpack of Eggs and the Vorpal Bunny pet, and battled the Grenwogs in /GrenwogWarren, you can begin your search for Candy Eggs! 

Chocolate eggs… creme eggs… caramel eggs… even rainbow marshmallow eggs!  You just have battle the right monsters to find them. (Hint: Cabdury placed them in map zones that start with the letters /gre -- check the wiki for more help)

If you choose to eat them, the candy eggs can all be consumed, and used as potions to boost your character's abilities.  

Springtastic New Grenwog + Legion Rewards

Head to /GrenwogWarren and battle ALL the bosses from AdventureQuest Worlds' past Grenwog events... plus a furiously-furry surprise boss. Collect the eggs they drop to craft all the pieces of the color-customizable LagoMorph TechWear set. And if you're a member of the Undead Legion, we've got even more dark rewards for you to unlock!

April Event Notes & Darkon Update

AdventureQuest Worlds lead animator, Darkon, experienced an extremely-serious medical emergency. (Twitter Post). But the good news is, Darkon's surgery in early March was a success, and for the last month, he's been in physical therapy. He continues to grow stronger, and gave permission for us to update everyone with how he's doing. 

Ghost and Reens came back to help the AQWorlds team with animation for the March updates, but are needed back on AQW: Infinity. April's event calendar will be lighter on animation and heavy on rewards to farm for as Darkon continues healing. 

His health and safety is our top priority, and we've told him he's not allowed near a stylus or tablet until he's ready (/stern). Even then, he needs to take it slow and steady and rebuild strength and stamina.  Once his doctors clear him, we'll ease him back into animating as we gear up for the next chapter of the main story. 

Darkon excels at many things, but one of the things he is best at is  going above and beyond to defy expectation. He will recover well and fully. We're supporting him all the way as he does.
