Friday: Crystal Bright & the Silver Hands

Our newest special musical guest is on their way to Battleon!

Artix Entertainment is excited to present Crystal Bright & the Silver Hands, appearing in-game at www.AQ.com this Friday, April 8th, 2016! Join the band, the AdventureQuest Worlds team, and thousands of your fellow heroes next month as we battle surreal nightmares to reunite lost lovers and escape the Forest of Dreams!

You will NOT want to miss any of their music, either - it's haunting and surreal, and (like the in-game event) can transport you to other places inside your own mind.

Silver Hands Now... Someday, gold records?

We were fortunate enough to meet Crystal Bright and the Silver Hands at last year's Dragon*Con, and have been planning an in-game event with them ever since!

She and the Silver Hands have played over 500 shows over the last five years in venues ranging from Canada to Austin to Nashville.

They've currently got 2 full albums: "Muses and Bones" and "The Absolute Elsewhere." Performances of The Absolute Elsewhere have included aerials, acrobats, and other dancers. (O_O!!!!)

Musician, Ethnomusicologist... and now Videogame STAR!

Beyond being a wickedly-talented musician, Crystal Bright is super-smart and has been all over the world! She taught us about ethnomusicology (she has traveled the world learning how to play many different instruments)!

Her website calls her a "singer/songwriter, ethnomusicologist, composer, multi-instrumentalist" and MAN, is that a lot for one person to be! Her life-resume includes:

traveling the world
dancing with the Romani people of Spain
residing in an "anarchist" collective
working in Yellowstone National Park
collaborating with the North Carolina Symphony on an arrangement of her song "Toy Hammer"
and now... appearing before hundreds of thousands in an online videogame!

She can play a crazy number of instruments, too, including:

piano
adungu (a Ugandan harp)
concertina
Taiko drum
vocal chords (aka, singing)

Now Shooting New Music Video

RIGHT NOW, as I type this, Crystal and the guys are off shooting what looks to be an incredibly creepy music video for their song, "Choke," off of Crystal's latest album The Absolute Elsewhere. (She promises the short film / music video will bring all of your nightmares to life... and I believe her!
