BladeMaster Assassin Skills Update
Class skills updated last week to correct pre-release values
Over the Thanksgiving weekend, we released the BladeMaster Assassin Class in our Black Friday Shop. Our class designers worked feverishly before the holiday to get the class ready to go... but in the ensuing craziness of traveling, having the team working from different remote locations (and dealing with post-turkey feast comas), the class released with skill values from earlier in the testing stage.
These changes were not intended as a nerf. The skill values upon release used the last round of testing figures which our testers found unbalanced, and were intended to be lowered before release. Balanced classes help ensure that players progress through the game as intended, and without gaining an unfair advantage over other players. The numbers you see now are the current and correct skill values.
We've heard from a lot of you since the class released. For those enjoying the class, battle on with your Blademaster selves! For all of you who have banked the class or are no longer enjoying it, I sincerely apologize. Our goal was to release a balanced class, and we were able to do that... but it released sooner than it should have. We have made changes in our flow and taken steps to ensure that errors like this do not happen again in the future.
Simple Solution Skill Redesigned and Buffed
In addition to having the testing skill values go live, the Simple Solution skill had a bugged aura, which made it weaker than it should have been. The skill set up is now:
Rank 3: Simple Solution
Mana 25, 10 Second Cooldown
Deals Moderately Strong Damage to the initial target and lesser damage to two other targets. Applies Slicing Winds, reducing your target’s Crit Chance by 25% for 4 seconds.
Like the old effect, this skill is still very valuable in PvP, lowering all the targets chance to Crit around you will act as a supportive role for yourself and your allies. Note the debuff is a farily small window so use this skill at the right time to lower their chance to intially burst you. Remember you still take more damage from Death's Dance, but now you lower their ability to capatalize on it.
BladeMaster Assassin Class: Legion Version in March
The Class was originally planned to go rare after the holiday weekend, but due to the overwhelming amount of requests from Dage the Evil's Undead Legion fans over the Thanksgiving weekend, we announced that we'll be bringing back a Legion variant of the Class for his birthday in March. This version will have altered skill values, art, and animation. The current Class will not change from what it is now.
