How do I make an instant payment with PayPal?

There are two ways to make sure that you make an instant payment with PayPal, and not an eCheck.

• you need to pay with a credit card through PayPal
• you need to have your bank account set up with PayPal, as well as a backup funding source, such as a credit card

PayPal will allow most people to set up an account that will allow them to pay by debit card, credit card, echeck or instant bank transfer. Note: If you choose to pay with a payment option where PayPal has to wait for the payment to clear, such as with an echeck, you will be upgraded only after the payment has cleared. We cannot cancel echeck payments, you will have to wait for the echeck to clear.
