Excited! | Featured Artist Shop, the Femme Fatalities Cult, and Quibble bids farewell
Happy Tuesday! Everyone knows I’m easily excited by the smallest of things: a free cup of coffee, a pretty pink balloon, hugs from my Artix coworkers, fortune cookies, and getting the last bottle of Propel Water (Strawberry Kiwi of course!).

Every Tuesday, a new Artist takes the spotlight, showcasing their personal armors, weapons, helms, and other items using their unique artistic flair. Jemini was last week’s Featured Artist, filling her shop with Magical Anime armors and hairstyles.

Isle of Fotia & the Femme Fatalities
Off the southern coast of Lore is the fabled volcanic Isle of Fotia. The volcano on Fotia (coming from the Greek word meaning ‘fire’) is showing warning signs of erupting. Large tremors beneath the volcano are causing more and more lava to spew into the ocean below. A devastating eruption is bound to happen soon… which will wipe out all of Fotia and her inhabitants!
Fotia is home to an all female Cult known as the Femme Fatalities. Unfortunately, not much is known about this covert Cult or the island itself. Fotia is surrounded by treacherous water that only a Trireme (an ancient Greek boat) can navigate.
All my efforts to contact the Femme Fatalities have been in vain. Despite my many efforts using the Derp Pony Express, no one from the Cult has responded to any of my messages.
I did, however, speak with the pirates at Lolosia. Because of their vast knowledge of seafaring vessels, Elisa Keelhaul and her crew have started construction on a Trireme. Keelhaul’s crew believes that their Trireme will offer a safe voyage to the Isle of Fotia… but cannot guarantee safe passage once on the island.
Because I am a girl (surprise!), I have volunteered to travel to the Isle of Fotia on the Trireme. If I manage to make it, I will request an audience with the Femme Fatalities Cult Leader and gather as much information as I can.
Everyone on Twitter is abuzz with questions regarding the Femme Fatalities and their rumored hatred towards Dage the Evil. So long as I complete my mission—and don’t respawn back in Battleon if I fail—then everyone will soon have answers to the mysterious Isle of Fotia!

Revenge Maker | Discover how the Dage's Undead Legion Began!
This Friday, journey to Ravenscar, a cursed town doomed to burn for as long as Dage's Undead Legion stalk Lore! Go back in time to discover the truth of how the first Legion soldier was created in a maelstrom of rage, revenge, and exploitation!
Once you arrive in Ravenscar, you'll meet Mina, a ghost doomed to wander the village for as long as her beloved Rand is forced to battle with the Undead Legion. She will guide you on the first step of your journey into the dark, dark past.
 Meet Mina. She's dead now.
At the end of the storyline, you can unlock two shops: one for members of the Undead Legion, and one for those who have not yet declared their allegiance.
Find the Ancient Warrior set will be in the Ravenscar Legion shop. The Vengeful Warrior set will be in the Ravenscar Rewards shop.

Legion Legend: Dark Birthday Prophecy
Screams ring out as light floods the once-dark room. Candles extinguished hours ago burn brightly, making shadows dance across the cold chamber walls. The DreamWeaver shudders and clutches her amulet tightly.
Her assistant grabs a quill and scroll, hurrying to record the prophecy the crone gasps out:
Time and fate, the warrior's bane, when eternal glory is the ultimate prize.
New soldiers flood into the shadows surrounding the SoulForge, vowing loyalty to Dage the Evil, ruler of the Underworld. He knows a weapon is only as deadly as its creator... and the metal used to forge it.
What is dead may never die, and he will see the Legion rise.
Looking over the masses of men and women sharpening blades and polishing armors, he sees a new future taking shape. The souls before him will make great warriors IF their edges are sharp enough.
Behind the SoulForge, a hallway lies.
Many battles lay ahead if they are to fully conquer the UnderWorld. Even now, the creatures within it resist, but they are no match for Legion soldiers. No army in history has been stronger, more controlled, or gathered for a greater purpose.
Look through the mirrors to new skies.
The past is dead, he knows, and the dead gone to a realm he cannot touch. Dage looks to the future, to the blades he he will craft, the warriors who will wield them, and the wars they will wage. The Undead Legion are strong, but he will make them stronger. And as their power grows, so does his own.

Change Maker | A Few More Ways to Make AQWorlds Work Better!
Since Friday night, changes have been made to a number of the quests in-game (including many of Nulgath's farming quests) to optimize how they interact with the servers. These changes are not designed to increase the quests' difficulty. Each altered quest has had 1 monster drop added to it.
Many of the Nulgath quests have had one of the following items added to them: Nulgath Rune 1-9. Each Nulgath Rune has a 100% chance to drop from its monster. None of the other items required for the quests were altered.*
 You will find the difficulty has not increased. Much.
For the quests which have had Nulgath Runes added to them, you can find the monsters dropping them in either /nulgath, /tercessuinotlim, or /evilwarnul.
The Oblivion Blade of Nulgath (Rare) and the Oblivion Blade of Nulgath each now require you to possess the correct pet in order to do the quests. The change made in September introduced a hole which allowed anyone to do them.
* For the "Nulgath" quest, 5 Charged Mana Energies - each at 100% - were added to the Mana Elemental. The regular Mana Energy drop from the Mana Golem has had its' drop rate lowered back to normal (it was raised during the Dage/Nulgath war).
The Undead Legion is many and strong.
A few of Dage's Legion quests have also had an item added to them. Slay the Dreadfiend of Nulgath to find the Darkness Core Dage requires.
Random Disconnect Bug Solution
We've had many people reporting that they are getting randomly disconnected while questing recently. It appears to be caused by accepting to many item drops at the same time, too quickly. While we investigate a permanent solution to this issue, please accept or deny your item drops as they come in to avoid the abrupt disconnects.
This Friday: Just Another Day?
No way! This week's release is the conclusion to the End of All Things storyline began last Wednesday on 12-12-12... and it takes place on 12-21-12 - the end of the world! We WILL NOT let our world end, but we're going to need EVERYONE to help save it!

Make sure you have the Sword of Hope from the bottom of FrostDeep dungeon, because you will not be able to start this Friday's release without it!

War Taker | The Clock's Ticking...!
Because this past weekend was a holiday in the US (so people had less time to farm) and because we really DO want to make you guys happy when we can, we're extending the removal date of the war content until tomorrow night!
We did announce that the war content would leave on September 4th, and many of you set farming schedules around that. But sometimes real life interferes with what people plan, like life, school, and holiday time with family.
For those of you who do not want us to extend it, we hope you can understand your fellow players' desire to have one extra day to get what they want. And you guys who couldn't farm/buy ACs in time to meet today's deadline, we hope the extra 24 hour extension will help!

Back from Dragon*Con!
MAN did we have a great time! We saw so many new faces and got to hang out with many returning friends! The AE panel was incredible... and so were the secret, random midnight panels!

We always release a Naval Commander and Pirate Captain armor for Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19th, 2012, and this year's theme is... Chaos! (After all, it IS the Year of Chaos!) We will have a Chaos Naval Commander, but haven't yet decided on what the Pirate Captain's theme should be. What would YOU like to see?
AQWorlds: It Takes a Team to Make the Game!
You all see Cysero, Artix, and I post Design Notes, and maybe 1 or 2 more names that pop up frequently on Twitter. But it takes MANY more people to keep AQWorlds up and running every week, and not all of them get the recognition they deserve.
So, in no particular order, I'd like to list for you all of the incredible team members who work so hard each week to bring you AQWorlds:
Aranx: One of the newer faces on the AQW team, Aranx pairs speed with creativity and quality, and does it all in his spare time!
Aegis: Aegis came on board the AQW team over a year ago and contributes top-quality armors and gear in-between wrangling the deadly real-life monster.
Veneeria: We aren't sure where he gets his innovative ideas for weapon concepts, but we look forward to his creative take on weaponcrafting every week, and so should you!
Jemini: AQW and all-around go-to artist. She's been an AQW artist for the last half year (while still finding time to work on website assets or our other games).
Tomix: Though he mainly works on DragonFable, Tomix will often spare some time each month to craft exquisite weapon art for AQW.
Memet: AQW's newest artist, she's slowly transitioning over from Player Support staff! She created many of last week's water-themed polearms and looks forward to making much more.
Solrac: From weapons to armors, helms to capes, AQW's most cyborgic artist creates them all with speed and dexterity!
Dage the Evil: Beginning with AE as a player, Dage rose through the ranks to become an epically Evil artist for AQW!
J6: He's the only Bountyhunter who gives more than he takes! With AE for years, J6 has worked on every game we've created. As AQW's lead artist, he creates all our maps and often finds time for NPCs, monsters, and gear, too!
Sora to Hoshi: Sora's proven herself to be incredibly dedicated to AQWorlds as an in-game mod and Game Liason. She's got your back, and ours!
Reens, Stratos, and the Mods: The Lead and Assistant Lead of the in-game mods, Reens and Stratos run a crew of devoted volunteers who give up their free time to make sure AQW is a safe game for you all to play!
Miko, Mido, and Diozz: Please the eyes and you'll please the soul, and they want you to be happy from the start. Designing and updating all of AQW's website graphics, they're unsung artistic heroes!
Hizu: When you see an old monster with new, flashier skills, it's likely you'll have Hizu to thank. He's our assistant animator and buffs the epicosity of older mobs.
Samba: The nicest troll you'll ever find, she likes to move it, move it... and she's moved the quality-levels of AQW's monsters and cutscenes up to heights we've never seen before!
Zhimaira: The newest assistant writer, Zhimaira makes it possible for you to wield the weapons you do. He takes charge of the database work, the newsletter, and doing all the little things that make AQW possible.
Beleen: One of the punniest people on the team, Beleen uses her considerable writing skill to focus on new plans to get more people playing and staying with AQWorlds!
Dumoose: Once solely focused on game design (like tradeskills and guilds), over the Summer Dumoose stepped up to the plate and is now our release coder!
Yorumi: If you're able to log in and play AQW tonight, it's because of Yorumi. He's working on lag fixes, keeping the engine running, and is now devoting the bulk of his time to finishing guilds.

Sockfiend The Sockvil | Who Is The Greater Evil?
The time has come.
Dage, once an apprentice of Nulgath, has marshaled his forces and begun his march against his former master. But who is the true master? Is Dage The Evil really as clever as he thinks he is? Has he truly used Nulgath's own contracts to gain power and escaped the consequences only to become an even greater evil than his former master? Maybe he is just an overconfident fool who will pay the ultimate price for lashing out against a patient teacher who was simply biding his time while his student became full of himself?
This war will decide the fate of both of these creatures of evil.
In this war, there are SIX total shops, and as the war progresses, all of the shops will gain more items.

The AC RARES shop each have items for their own side. This week Nulgath has released less than Dage but a little but he has released a VERY expensive RARE Armor that is sure to go down in history.There are rumors that Dage is hard at work crafting an armor set or two to rival the Deathfiend of Nulgath but those are only rumors.
The Legion Token and Diamond Shops also contain special items for each side but these are ONLY for the devout followers of Dage, Nulgath or both. All of these items will also be going rare so, to make them a little easier to get the two evil masters have agreed to allow you to farm for Legion Tokens and Diamonds inside the war.
UPDATE: Due to an oversight and dramatic imbalance, the quests have been removed. If a more balanced solution is found, they may be re-added with some new requirements next week.
Members get special quests with larger pay-outs to help you farm for Legion Tokens or Diamonds more quickly.
Finally, there are the War Merge Shops. These shops will NOT be going Rare, neither will the war so you will be able to earn the items in these shops whenever you like.
Right now Nulgath is working on the first of several animated shorts which I hope we will be able to put up here on this design notes post a little later tonight. If not, we will get it up as soon as we can.

Details of the Dage vs Nulgath War!
You are about to enter into a free-for-all battle zone. The darkness in the Underworld is oppressive and thick. Do not think to find friends there; even those who pledge to watch your back may be tempted by the rewards available.
Know what you will face before stepping onto the battlefield:
- Dage the Evil's Undead Legion Vs Nulgath the Archfiend's followers
- The 3-part war will release over the next 6 weeks. (One week of war, one week of something new, repeat)
- The war will unlock new maps, mini-bosses, and rewards as the meter climbs higher
- The goal for this week is to reach 30% and the first miniboss
- Each side will have War Token, Loyalty (side-specific), and AC shops
- Each side will have 2 extra-high reward quests, one member-only, one free-player
- The member quest will give triple the usual rewards (3 Diamonds/Legion tokens). The free player will give double the usual rewards (2 Diamonds/Legion Tokens).
- The war farming quests and AC items will go rare. The map, War Merge items, Legion/Diamond items, and cutscenes you unlock during the war will remain for everyone to see.

Whisper Maker | The Undead Legion Rises!
In the frigid darkness of the Underworld, poisonous whispers hiss on the wind. The hisses turn to rumbling, rumbles to growls, until the unintelligible voices begin to scream. The winds cry, keening with their calls. These are the sounds of the undead, the ones forgotten and left to the darkness. Alone.
A ghostly blue light begins to shine, highlighting the twisted halls and cavernous chambers which pit this desolate realm like jagged, angry lesions. As the glow grows brighter, unseen eyes watch the Undead rise.
Staggering to their feet, they shake the dust off of bones which have lain motionless for centuries. Compelled to move, urgency fills empty chambers where once their hearts beat; an unknown force pulls at their broken feet.
Lurching and swaying and crawling, they make their way to the place where they know HE will appear. Their Master. The Evil. Dage is waiting.
Across Lore, tens of thousands of the Undead Legion muster to his call. Though still alive, they are bound as tightly as the new Undead Dage has recruited. They all belong to him, body and soul, and they will ALL fight and die - or die again - at Dage's command. Those who survive the war will reap the rewards and many riches Dage has to offer.
He knows that Nulgath, the Archfiend, is readying his followers to take the field against him. He laughs to himself, relishing imagined images of the utter defeat the Fiend's pitiful warriors will suffer at the hands of his highly-trained, loyal Legion members.
There can be only ONE supremely Evil being in the Underworld, and Dage has grown very tired of his temporary home in Shadowfall. The souls he'll steal from Nulgath's fallen army will only increase his power. No bad bonus, that.
He has decided. Nulgath will fall and Dage's reign will begin. He knows this war is his to win.
Leagues away, a lone figure stands listening to the report his trembling minion has brought. As the puling pawn begins to turn, shaking with relief at having delivered the pretender's message, he freezes in place. His mind and body shatter into shards of failure. As the pieces hit the floor, Nulgath slowly smiles.

Here comes the sock | Two Half-Dragons In Love!
This Friday: Nythera, the hard-working half-dragon in charge of AE Player Support is getting married this weekend and and you're all invited!
About 1000 years ago, The Purple Mage's parents arranged her marriage to Ryuuji, another very magically talented half-dragon. Just one problem... Nythera has NO interest in getting married, no matter what her parents agreed to.
She thinks she can get out of the marriage contract promising her to Ryuuji but she will need your help and Ryuuji will stop at nothing to win her heart.
As promised, there will be a number of rare items including (but not limited to) some AC rares and since so many of you have been asking for it through e-mails and tweets, the Violet Eternal Flame back item will be one of them.
Much like my wedding event, Nythera plans on getting married just once so this is literally a once-in-a-lifetime event. Don't miss it. Come and help us celebrate and if you can't make it, please stop by the Forums and wish her good luck! :)
Dage's Evil Birthday!
Tomorrow, March 2nd is Dage The Evil's Birthday and to celebrate he has decided to come to Battleon and offer you some of his items, including the highly anticipated Dark Caster armor!
 For you Dage The Evil fans, this will be one of the only times when you can grab a few of his items for gold/ACs instead of buckets full of Legion Tokens. These items will ONLY be in game starting tomorrow March 2nd, until Monday Mar 7th. The shop will open sometime during the day.
Dage has requested that the armor price be set to 2000 ACs as he has previously mentioned over Twitter. I just don't want anyone surprised by this.
Bugs and Progress
There has been a lot of recent discussion about bugs and I wanted to adress these concerns and also ask for additional help from you guys.
Some people are concerned that they haven't seen any progress on some of our bigger (actually huge) ticket items. Specifically Guilds, Name Changes, Gender Changes and PvP improvements.
Please understand that each of these projects are fairly big to enormous and require a LOT of time and effort on behalf of the entire team especially considering that we release new content every week, and not just a hat or two but usually a full adventure with music and at least one animated cutscene.
Even comping up with a concept for an easy and fun way for you guys to build and run YOUR OWN guilds while keeping the game family friendly is a challenge, much less the back end.
Name Changes require changing the entire flow of the Login process to require a Portal Account among other things, plus deciding how far back to go and sieze names of innactive accounts which is bound to make a few returning players mad.
PvP is a constant pain, which requires real-time positioning (so you see your enemy where is, instead of where he sees himself so you're not attaching his ghost image whule he wails on you from behind. It's a lot more calls than normal positioning within the game (except for the Ledgermayne battle). Balancing PvP against PvE (Player versus Environment) is an uphill battle that every MMO has to come up with a solution for (and the most popular MMO on Earth still struggles with) especially in trying to keep up with player demand for new classes, which is one of the most constantly requested game additions.
Lag. It's like snot. Everyone has it and, no matter what you do, it is sometimes unavoidable. Making a Flash based MMO gives us the power to reach a LOT more people than we ever could if we made a console RPG or an MMO that required a client download. A very large amount of our players play from internet cafes and librarys. Unfortunately Flash has some drawbacks and one of them is that it's very prone to lag, but some of it also comes from older computers, slower browsers, intermittent internet connectivity due to the ISP or a wireless connection and some of the lag comes from the servers as well. I'm sure you've noticed how hard it is to log in after a restart. That is because everyone is trying to crowd into the servers at the same time and just like a real door... it gets clogged when everyone tries to run through at once. We are always fighting lag and we are really sorry for the lag you experience.
Each of these items presents their own unique challenges plus keep up with our weekly release bugs and some of those are game-crahsers.
Here's where you come in... WE NEED BUG REPORTS. Everytime we get a bug report we try to replicate it to see if it was a real bug that we can track and fix or just a code-hiccup. We go through the bug reports for EVERY release in GREAT DETAIL and try and fix every bug that we can duplicate, but we can't fix the broken bits of AQW without your help.
Please, when you encounter a bug go to the AQW Bugs Forum and REPORT IT! The more details you can give us the faster we can get it fixed. There are sections for just about every kind of issue you can imagine and without your detailed bug reports, we don't know that they are there.

Book of Lore Badges: Inventory Increase
On Friday, the MAX number of obtainable Inventory Slots in your Backpack went to 100, and MAX Bank Slots went all the way up to 250 (and you can still store an unlimited amount of AC items in your bank)!
Two new achievements were *supposed* to be added to the Book of Lore on Friday... but something went horribly wrong and the ‘Spaced Out,’ ‘Maxed Out,’ and ‘Superhuman Vault’ badges weren’t working properly.
BUT NOW THEY WORK! Yay!
Thanks to the hard work from Yorumi, Llussion, and Minimal, and the tears from yours truly, these achievements now work and show up in your Book of Lore. The Spaced Out badge appears when you have 75 slots in your Inventory, Maxed Out is awarded for getting all 100 Inventory Spaces, and Superhuman Vault appears when getting all 250 bank slots.
Ctrl+Alt+Del Event Fixes
Have you played through the entire CAD Event? Helped Ethan retrieve his Winter-een-mas Crown? And now you wanna farm Battle Zeke buuuut that Cutscene keeps playing and kicks you back to GameHaven?
Well that’s been fixed, too! After you defeat Battle Zeke and complete all the quests in GameHaven, the Warehouse, and Arcadion, you will never have to watch that Cutscene ever again after you pwn Battle Zeke. So happy farming—he has 6 wicked drops if you’re lucky enough!
Also, the Character Page Achievement for the Ctrl+Alt+Del event is still not working. But fear not! Zhoom the fancy-pants programmer says that these achievements *should* show up sometime tomorrow. Once they are up and working properly, we will announce it on the Homepage, on these Design Notes, and on our Twitters =D!
Groundhog’s Day this Wednesday
Holy groundhogs! It’s ALMOST February 2nd! Do you know what that means? …uh yeah, I guess my little subtitle thing up there gave it away. It’s Groundhog’s Day!
On this day every year, Philip the weather predicting groundhog pops his head out of his hole and peers around. If he comes out to play, then spring is here! If he sees his shadow and vanishes back into his warm, cozy burrow, then we know that we are in for SIX MORE WEEKS of winter!

Chinese New Year—Year of the Rabbit
February 3rd marks the Chinese New Year—the Year of the Rabbit! So to celebrate this 15-day long festival, Akiba on Yokai Island is currently being decorated with lights, lanterns, and fireworks, and will be fully ready by Friday night's release!
There will be bunches of new quests and even more new items to choose from to get you in the spirit of things! Princess Miko is EVEN getting a makeover for this special occasion. She’s ganna look sooooooo pretty! Hehehhe!
Last year for Chinese New Year, we offered a very special non-member pet for AdventureCoins. And this year… we’re doing the same thing! Can you guess what it’ll be?

Dage’s OOPS!
They don’t call Dage “the Evil” for nothing! Awhile ago, in the Black Market Shop (which has currently vanished… and no one knows if the Vendor will come back or not…) had a pair of totally awesome weapons called the Reavers of Amenti.
Dage the Evil mistakenly said on his Twitter that the Reavers of Amenti would be a requirement for a future item in his Merge Shop. BAD DAGE, BAD! No one can make such promises, and last week when his “Zealith Reavers” were added to his secret shop secretly hidden in a secret place somewhere in Lore, the Zealith Reavers DID NOT require the Reavers of Amenti as a turn-in.
We have gotten complaints that some players bought the Reavers of Amenti just for Dage’s weapon. We care about each and every one of you, and we want to make everyone happy! So to make amends, we have made the Reavers of Amenti permanent Rares! Congratz to everyone who has them! That Black Market dealer never knew if his items were ganna go Rare anyway...
But wait, there’s more! If you don’t like the Reavers of Amenti because you wanted Dage’s Zealith Reavers instead, feel free to sell 'em!
The Zealith Reavers are still in Dage’s secret Merge Shop and can be obtained only by completing his ridiculous quests and having some serious luck to get the necessary item turn-ins.

Socksea | I Hope You Don't Mind Sand Inbetween Your Toes
The Sandsea has finally made its way from DragonFable to AQW. As usual, we've kicked off the zone with the central town, the NPCs and all of the shops in the area.
Zhoom, the master tracker and ranger, will be your guide to the zone. He's what we call the ZONE NPC. He will guide you around the zone, much the way that Rayst does in Arcangrove and Dorian Mode does in Mythsong.
Once we get the area going, just talk to Zhoom if you're lost and he'll let you where you need to go next to continue the all new Sandsea storyline adventures. He will also be the item vendor for the Sandsea Reputation you will earn doing quests around town and through the story.
Each of the NPCs in the Oasis Village has quests for you, some of which you can repeat as much as you like for a small amount of Sandsea Rep, or MEMBERS can do Daily Quests around the town for much larger rewards and faster rep so you can buy rewards like the Sandrunner Armor, Helm, Cape and Longbow.
You will be able to visit the Oasis Bazzar...
...where you can speak to Cassim for all new Sandsea themed House Items (thanks to Skyline) or Nkuku, the Sandsea Pet Trainer for a bunch of new desert loving pets (thanks to Miltonius)!
If you need a trim, head to Kephri's Barber Shop.
Dage has designed a handful of new hairstyles that are sure to keep you cool in the hot desert sun! As usual, we will be adding more as the area develops.
If you get tired or hungry, head to Bastet's Oasis Inn for a quick rest.
Each of her foods has a different effect on you. You could try the MEAT for double damage or the refreshing water for a helpful Heal Over Time effect! TheSuper-Coder Minimal has designed these to be some of the most powerful effects we've added to date so be careful not to over-eat.
Too much dessert in the desert.
Around the Oasis, something has disturbed the desert wildlife. You may have to defend yourselves against exploding Cactus Creepers, and the fearsome saber-toothed BUPERS CAMEL! If the phrase Bupers Camel makes no sense to you, read Beleen's earlier post. She explains it all. Like Clarissa.
Enjoy this intro and keep in mind that we will add more and more to the shops in town until the zone is finished!

There was supposed to be another great armor and helm in the shop but thanks to our wonderful and attentive community, it was pointed out that the art was taken from another game entirely.
It was probably accidental. We all have things we really like. TV Shows, other video games, card games, movies, bands, and so on and we know you want to see those things in AQW, but remember that some other artist worked really hard on their own creation and we don't want to steal their stuff. Please, when you suggest stuff in the forums, make sure that it's either original or you credit the original source for your suggestion.

Artix's Inventory Post
There has been a lot of confusion surrounding Artix's revelation that we are working on a way to provide a HUGE boost to Inventory space, both for normal game items and possibly house items.
Please be patient with us, we're still trying to see IF it is even possible. Once we find that out, then we will figure out exactly how it is going to work, what it will cost, if it will only be available to Members who pay to support the servers or if they will be AC purchases available to everyone... we have a log way to go before we make any of those calls.I can tell you one thing... it will cost a LOT in terms of server storage and game bandwidth, so it won't be entirely free.
Just know that we have heard your cries of pain during Frostval, tossing away old rares for new ones... and we are, as always, doing our level best to listen to you and give you what you ask for, but this is a BIG DEAL that will require a LOT of work for us so it may take a while.
Right now, it is out #1 priority project.

Sockval | Happy Frostval!
My favorite time of year has finally arrived! Today we are being visited by the Ghost of Frostval Past (You may have watched in horror as Artix exorsized said ghost in DragonFable's Frostval event a few years ago. The position has been filled.)!
Once again the Frost Moglins of Frostvale are opening the snow-covered gates of their town to all of Lore as they prepare for the merriest of all of Lore's holidays... Frostval! If this is your first year with AQW then you get to play through all of the previous adventures leading up to NEXT WEEK's ALL NEW FROSTVAL ADVENTURE (where a old foe returns with vengence in their heart) and the return of the Battleon Seasonal Frostval Shop (with Holiday Jester 10!). You are welcome to all of the great Frostval seasonal rares and the heart-warming Frostval stories.
If you've played through these adventures before then you can visit your frieds Robina and Blizzy!
But you'll notice that we made a few changes to the old stuff for this year! We've added a few all new rewards to some of the repeatable quests in and around Frostvale and we've added the classic Frostval Theme to all of these ares. You might also notice that Yorumi has added a gently wafting snow to much of the event!
Major Moglin has had some changes too!
Last year, quite a few people had trouble figuring out the Frostvale Tale adventure. You had to read parts of it in your Book of Lore and run all over Lore looking for hidden clues which were far too well hidden. We've pet a lot of effort into stream-lining the adventure this year! The chapters of "Twas The Night before Frostval" have been removed from the Book of Lore and added to Major Moglin's dialogue box, sparklies have been added to the pick-up items to make them eaiser to spot and we've made the clues within the tale a lot eaiser to find. Hope this helps.
Quibble is STAYING (for a while)!
One of my wonderful Tweeple suggested that it might be nice to keep Quibble up for a while, so the folks who get AdventureCoins as holiday gifts might be able to get what THEY want. I asked the rest of my Tweeps what they thought and it seemed like a great idea. So, as per player request, Quibble will remain in BattleOn until after the new year begins. We'll even add a few new items each week!
Miltonius is working on a new Santa Outfit right now, and Dage has offered up an amazing, new holiday weapon!

Sockbiter | New AC Rares!
The traveling sales moglin, Quibble Coinbiter, has returned to Battleon with an all new assortment of rare items (most of which he is willing to part with in exchange for AdventureCoins) which are magically themed, in honor of the new magical Arcangrove area.
In an AQWorlds first, Quibble will be staying in Battleon for a little longer than usual and next week he will be ADDING special items in honor of Talk Like A Pirate Day (including the all new Icy Naval Commander armor!).
New Arcangrove Dailies!
A lot of you have been asking for new rep dialy quests to help you earn Arcangrove reputation a little faster and we have answered your call. Speak to Ewa in The Cloister and Paddylump in the Mudluk Village to take on their new reputation daily quests!
Remember, we are only halfway through the Arcangrove saga, with lot of areas (and lots of new rep items... and maybe even a class) to come!

Now that we have fully recovered from DragonCon (except for Llussion who had to go to the doctor today and hasn't been in all week) we will be continuing the Arcangrove Saga, as well as beginning plans for AQW's third birthday in October.
Just letting you guys know, we WILL be offering 2nd Upholder status (much like we offered 1st Upholder a year ago, and Founder a year before that) with a special badge, rare item, bragging rights and all the benefits that come with being a 2nd Upholder!

DOS-adin | Greetings friends! I must say... this has been the busiest few weeks of my life. (If I told you how long it took me to get to this part of the post due to people flooding into the warroom with emergencies you would seriously be laughing. It has been at least 30 minutes.) But this is what happens when so many exciting things are in the works! Some our happening right now.... like EpicDuel's Gamma release that just went live! (Way to go Titan!) In AQWorlds we have PvP coming this Friday, and then our biggest Friday the 13th event ever coming the following week!!!!!! It is either going to be the most epic thing we have ever created.... or we are not going to make it in time.... wish us luck!
Dage's Custom Armor & Arcangrove
As you may already know, J6 has taken on an apprentice named Dage. He is a young and skilled artist who has recently been crafting some amazing armors and items you have seen in our releases. A mini-riot broke out in Battleon today when players found out that Dage had given his best friend in game a set of his personal armor. (Updated the last sentence, verified.) Now, at first thought you might think... well, he made it right? So why should he not be able to give it to whomever he wants? Good question. The answer is... that is makes our fellow adventurers feel bad because there is no equal opportunity for them to get or earn the item in any way. Or put simply... it does not feel fair. So, you will be very relieved to know that Dage's armor will be available in the upcoming magical Acangrove Saga or alternatively on his Birthday. This was planned before this became an issue. In the past many mods have chosen to make their custom pets and armors available to players. Beleen gave you her Chinchilla and I have given you both my armor and my trusty side kick, Daimyo (OMG... did we miss his birthday this year?). Also... we accidently sold Ai No Miko's armor as a Kimono during the Yokai Zone (she will never let me live that down... but accidents do happen.) In the meantime, Dage has a special item coming up for you in the Friday the 13th release that you should be looking forward to!
