Busy Sock | It Never Ends!
We've got a LOT planned for this week but before I get into what's coming this week let's go over some old business...
Fishing Badge
The King Fisher Character Page Badge is now up on your character pages.
Of course, you must be a King Fisher with maxed out Fishing Rep to obtain this permanent pendant professing your piscatorial prowess.
Grenadier Buff
The Members who have Rank 10 Skyguard Reputation (and a few who weren't rank 10, actually) got to preview the Member Only Grenadier Class this weekend. The overall impressions were that it's a lot of fun and an interesting class build but they had problems with mana regen and felt that it was a touch under-powered, especially considering that it was the first Member Only class is a long time.
So this week we will be BUFFING Skyguard Grenadier. Here's what we are doing...
- Increasing DPS overall.
- Decreasing the mana cost for Flashbang, Sleeping Gas and Reactive Grenade by 5 mana each.
- Flashbang's base debuff will be changed to CRIT reduction instead of HIT reduction.
- Rank 4 Passive Adrenaline Rush will be changed to 8% Damage Reduction instead of 10% Dodge.
In testing Stratos was able to solo Ledgemayne and I was able to solo both Ledgermayne and Wolfwing with the fully ranked class so this class is no slouch already if you know how to use it and how to manage your mana, but this should make it REALLY nice.
By the time you read this the changes will already be in effect.
Don't forget that Itzachi, the class dealer in Battleon, will be selling this Member Only class for 2000 ACs starting this Friday if you would rather take the shortcut rather than ranking all the way to 10.
Leap Day Is Coming!
Every 4 years the calendar racks up a full day of time that was left over from all the other days. The solution to this problem is adding a day every 4th year. This is why we have a February 29th this Wednesday and Feb is normally a 28 day month.
We've decided that we want to help you leap forward too.
Starting some time on Wednesday, Feb 29th, we will be adding a Leap Day NPC to Battleon who will give you 4 simple quests. Each quest will reward you with a one-time free hour long BOOST for your XP, GOLD, REPUTATION or CLASS RANK.
You will have 24 hours from the time that we release this to get the Leap Day Boosts and then they will be gone. Plan ahead and remember that this only happens once every 4 years!
I CAN HAS AUSTRALIA DAY?!
This weekend I got to hang out with the winner of this round of the I CAN HAS MOD contest, HERZER HERRING!
She is from Australia and her wish is that we add an Australia Day NPC to the game who would sell Australian Themed Items!
As per her wish, Mick "Crocodile" Dundoo will be coming to Battleon this Friday selling a number of AUS themed items and house items which were almost entirely suggest by Herzer Herring.
As for the Golden Cheezburger, this one will work a little differently. She wished that it be changed into an rare Australian Themed HOUSE, based on the iconic Sydney Opera House! In order to get your house you will need to talk to Mick Dundoo and trade the Cheezburer in for the house.
You MUST have a Golden Cheezburger Deluxe to get this rare house and once Mick Dundoo leaves, you will never be able to get the house again!
There will also be other items like dual Bowie Knives (that's not two knives, mate... THIS is two knives!), a Rugby Uniform Armor in AUS Olympic colors of Green and Gold, A green and gold "Boomer"ang weapon, A Cricket Bat with the AUS flag on it, Kangaroo and Barry the Platypus pets and some cool house items like an AUS flag for your wall and A Croc skin rug!
ALL OF THE ITEMS IN THE SHOPS WILL BE FOR EVERYONE! NON-MEMBERS and MEMBERS!
I mentioned the rare house over Twitter this weekend and it was met with an amazing amount of complaining. I was really surprised and a little hurt to see so many people griping about getting a completely free house based on the wish of a fellow player who did not want any recognition for herself (she didn't even want to be the NPC when I offered) but only a little recognition for the country she loves and calls her home. Thanks to everyone who saw this gift for what it is and accepted it with an excited smile.
After brainstorming item ideas for the shop we farmed Skyguard for a while and I showed her some of the cool mod powers she could use while she was a mod, like going to secret mod only maps and even going back in time to closed events (While we were time traveling I let her pick up Alpha Pirate for herself as well as some other rares from past areas).
She is a heck of a player, a loyal AQW Member & Supporter and a lot of fun to hang out with. Herzer Herring, it was a true pleasure getting to hang out with you. Thanks!
We will probably only do ONE MORE ROUND of I CAN HAS MOD and we will let you know as soon as that starts!
Etherstorm Goes Out With A Bang!
The Eterstorm Saga is closing starting with this weekend's war. The outcome of the entire area will be decided by the outcome of the war. You will be able to fight on the side of Good, Evil or even Desoloth.
This weekend we will ALSO be releasing the Elemental Dracomaner Class for Etherstorm Rank 10. There will be an AC version in Itzachi as well but after this class we will probably start doing what we did with Grenadier and letting the Rank 10 people have it a week before anyone else so they can get a head start on mastering the class.
We will be posting a skill breakdown and some images of the class later on this week.
Dage The Evil's Deathday Party!
Dage's birthday is March 2nd! There was a typo (not mine) in the 2012 AE calendar that said March 22'nd but it's actually this Friday!
He has decided to craft some custom items for his birthday!
Here is a full list of the birthday items. They are ALL ACs, and he priced them a little higher than average but hey, he's evil, whatcha gonna do?

| Pink Shenanigans, +20 Inventory Bag Increase, and Expansion of Vasalkar’s Lair. Yup. Wednesday is looking pretty sweet!
Another year has just flown on by! Like, seriously—where did the time go?! I think someone activated the African Swallow speed setting. /shakes fist! Turn it back to Llama speed!
…did anyone get that joke? Bonus points if you get the reference—and if you don’t, then I have really aged myself just now =p
Right! Moving onwards from my old-lady rant… tomorrow is my birthday, so naturally I would have a Birthday Shop full of pink goodies.
Right?
Right!
But there’s more to it! My shop has got some of my favorite items found throughout the game dyed hot pink! Get your pink mits on the Pinkest Platinum Wings, Pink Strike Scythe, Baby Pink Dragon Pet, Amaranth Reavers (the Undead Legion is going to KILL me!), Astralnomically Pink Wings, Carmine Cutter, Shocking Pink Caster Staff, Magenta’s Costume, and the Adorable Pink Blade of Cuteness!
All the items in my shop cannot be bought with gold. They cannot be bought with ACs either. Some items are Member Only, and others are available for everyone. My birthday shop is a Merge Shop, meaning that you have to trade things in in order to get those pink-a-licious items!
You’re going to need the original Weapon, Cape, Pet, or Armor (currently found somewhere within the game) in addition to stacks of Fuchsia Dye and/or Magenta Dye that can be earned from completing my challenging Scavenger Hunt Quests.
It’s like a Scavenger Hunt on top of 5 different Scavenger Hunt Quests!
I don’t think that’s ever been done before. Ever. Until now. Tehehe, this is going to be so much fun!
Real Life Birthday Presents
The other day, I received two presents in the mail from our friend and fellow player SUBMEOBI: the +4 Helm of Holiday Cheer and the Pink Bunny Slippers of DOOM. Because of SUBMEOBI’s kindness, thoughtfulness, and ability to make me smile every single day, the Helm of Holiday Cheer and the DoomKnightgown armor were created by Dage the (not so) Evil so that everyone who plays and supports AQWorlds could enjoy SUBMEOBI’s gift! =D

Inventory Increase
What’s better than getting a bunch of presents for my birthday? Why, how about… getting an inventory bag increase to store all my presents in! YEEEAAAH!
Come tomorrow, you can purchase an additional 20 Inventory Spaces for you Bag, for a maximum total of 120 Slots. That’s A LOT. It’s a good thing you’ve been working out, because lugging around 120 weapons, armors, & pets could prove quite challenging for those without adequate upper body strength! /flex

... and the rest of the AQW team! | The They Might Be Giants / AQW 3rd Birthday Event Continues!
The second part to our special birthday event (featuring the music and amazingly distorted voice talents of John and John from They Might be Giants) continues tonight!
This week we are adding three new areas (including the member only dino-caves), tons of new quests, cutscenes, monsters, monster drops, new house items, new AC Rare items as promised, and a new Achievement! If you played through the entire event then you already know that we left you, young Drakath, John F. and John L. hurtling through time and space.
You could use a little practice controlling the Collector's Vigilette.
NEW CLASS: Vindicator Of They!
Also, as promised we have released a new class especially crafted for the They Might Be Giants event... The Vindicator Of They!
Here are a few fun facts about this new class: Every skill (other than Auto Attack) references a They Might Be Giants song or line of lyrics. Three of the skills have new battle effect graphics that were designed JUST for this class setting it apart from every other class in AQW & finally, we only have the rights to the event for 1 year so this class WILL go rare when the rest of the event leaves.
You can earn this item from the Token daily quests in the event (Members can earn tokens twice as fast!), the use the tokens to purchase the class, helm, sword and cape from the Token Shop.
If you would spend ACs to have the class RIGHT NOW, you can buy the AC version of the class from the Johns in the Collection map or from Itzachi in Battleon, but remember that you can only buy the CLASS with ACs. If you want the rest of the set then you'll have to do those dailies.
To help you rank up the class a little faster Itzachi will also be selling CLASS POINT BOOSTS for ACs and since we're tossing that in we might as well include the REPUTATION BOOSTS also. Once you equip and use these Boosts, you will double the rate that they increase for a while.

Higher Level Adventurer Enhancements!
A lot of you have reached higher levels faster that we gave you credit for. Due to server issues we had not planned to release any of the higher level Enh until next week, but we don't want to leave you in the cold so we will be releasing level 41-45 Adventurer Enh. You can find those in the ENHANCEMENTS BUTTON in Battleon.

AQW has only one Birthday a year and every time we try and out-do ourselves and I think we really kicked it round the moon this time. I'd like to thank the entire AQW team for putting in extra effort, coming in on days off, staying late and generally owning face on this event.
I'd like to thank They Might Be Giants for not only allowing us to bring them into AdventureQuest Worlds but also for all of their creative input when creating the event that lead from a few rough ideas to a full event with insane voice acting, evil doppelgangers, time traveling aliens and one of our very favorite bands ever. These guys had their own stuff going on... tours, shows and their own lives... but were never too busy to make or take a call to work on the event. It was really, truly great working with them. In real life they are funny, fun, down-to-earth, creative and passionate about what they do (which is a little bit of everything).
Real life story: We were about to get last week's event up for testing and I was on the phone with John F. asking him when would be a good time for the guys to run through the event so they could see what we were doing to them. After tossing around some times, I mentioned that it was my Birthday. John F said "Oh man! Well, we break for Birthdays," and shifted his entire schedule around so we could test the next morning just so I could go to dinner with my wife that night.
Finally, I want to thank you guys. If you consider the hundreds of thousands of players who have taken part in the event so far, this has been the BIGGEST BIRTHDAY PARTY any of us have ever been invited to. I've said it before but here it is again... you are the game. Without players, especially fantastic ones like you guys, a game is nothing more than a bunch of code that nobody ever sees. Thanks each and every one of you for helping to make this our biggest and best birthday yet!

October is AQWorlds' anniversary month! And THAT means that anyone who upgrades (as long as your upgrade expires ON or AFTER November 4th, 2011) will become a 3rd Upholder! But first, I would like to talk about the AQWorlds team. Actually, I would like to say a number. 156. Yes, one hundred and fifty six. What is that number? That is the minimum number of weekly releases the AQW team has created since the game went live. (Of course, as you know the real number is closer to 200) Every single week for three years, starting on Monday and completed by Friday, the AQWorlds team has written, drawn, animated, and released brand new content for you and your fellow players to enjoy. To date the team has created 390 areas, 714 monsters, 9,391 items, and 1,315 quests. When we started, they said it was impossible to do weekly updates on a MMO like we did on a single player game... *dramatic pause* But you believed in us and supported us... so, this week we celebrate our 3rd year of our favorite weekly-updated, web based MMO! I would like to give credit, congratulations and praise to developers, moderators and support staff who make AQWorld's releases possible each and every week! I hope you will join me in this by raising your weapon, spellbook, or dangerously clawed were-arm in a war-cheer of "Battle on!" on The BattleOn Forums, FaceBook and Twitter.

Ctrl+Alt+Del Event Details
It’s the moment we have all been waiting for…for the past week and a half. Cysero worked his magic with the creator of the webcomic Ctrl + Alt + Del and we will be hosting the in-game event this Friday!
The last week of January is a very special time of year for CAD fans... it's Winter-een-mas, a holiday just for gamers! But this Winter-een-mas… something is not quite right (other than the whole holiday not bring quite right). The Winter-een-mas Crown has been stolen and Ethan, Lucas, Lilah, and Zeke need your help getting it back!
There will be Winter-een-mas rare items pulled directly from the pages (web pages) of Ctrl + Alt + Del plus some stuff you've never seen before… like the 16-bit Item Sets in the AC Event Rare Shop!
Digital DOOMknight Armor and Helm, Blade of 16-Bit Awe, and the Light of Digital Destiny!
All these 16-bit digital items (and more!) will be in the AC event rare shop along with a 16 bit pet. Nearly all of the DROPS from the event will be non-member. BUT! After this week, the event goes Member Only so only members will have access to those drops. And when the event goes Member, the AC shop is GONE. Just a fair heads-up for everyone who is reading this now =D
Completely Color Customizable CardCaster Class?!
If you happen to follow me, Dage the Evil, or Cysero on Twitter, then you probably caught a sneak-peek at the newest Class making its way to our Inventory Bags.
CardCaster Class preview!
This completely color custom Class—based off Base, Accessory, Trim, and Eye Color—is still in the making and has no scheduled release date yet. But this Class is special. Very special. The only way to get this Class is by getting your hands on the not-yet-released BattleOn Game Cards set!
Artix, Mido, Cy, Dumoose, and the entire Team have been hard at work on a physical card game that will hit store shelves in the next few months (if everything works out like we hope it will).The card game is SUPER INCREDIBLY fun and I cannot wait until it is actually finished!
I’m sure Artix will give you some more spoilers as the card game nears its final stage. But for now… that’s all I can say. If I haven’t already said too much. Yipes!
And, um, as for the Inventory/Bank Space improvements…. Zhoom? …Minimal? Where are you guys?!

You have heard us going on and on about this for weeks now but maybe you were in outter mongolia and didn't have any internet until today or maybe you just found out about AQ Worlds so here it is one more time!

Birthday Event Closes Today!
Today is also the last day to take part in the AQW 2nd Birthday Event hosted by Paul and Storm, featuring Jonathan Coulton! That means today is the last day to play through the Mirror Realm adventure and grab all of the super-swoop rare items from the event!

Incubus Is Nearly HERE!
You guys have ripped through the current war, and as I write this the war is hovering at around 93% complete. By this evening you will be able to face down Vampire Lord Incubus! Kimberly from One-Eyed Doll is waiting for you in the war camp urging you forward with One-Eyed Doll's newest Single "You're a Vampire"!

The answer is an easy one: I didn't. Zhoom, llussion and our new coder Yorumi did all that. I'm just as impressed as you are.
Pumpkin Princesses and Princes!
The Pumpkin Carving contest is done and we are in the process of marrowing down the winner or winners from all of the great entries that we got! The Grand Prize winner or winners each get 5000 AdventureCoins! I have also made a special pumpkin themed sword for the winner or winners which I have named "For the Gourd". This will be one of the rarest items in the entire game!
I always love having contests like this. It's really great to see how creative you guys can be with something as simple as a veggie.
If you've ever had one of your suggestions make it into one of Artix Entertainment's games and watched it come to live right on the screen then you know how we feel when we see ideas from the games we make come to life in the real world through your creativity! You guys are really amazing!

Chaos Lord Fight: MEMBERS ONLY
This Friday is also the Arcangrove Finale member only preview! It's been a long and fun zone and I'm pretty sorry to see it come to a close. This zone has become my favorite in the entire game with it's beautiful areas, fantastic original music, impressive magic-themed items, interesting NPCs, and extremely fun-to-write plotline. Minimal and I have cooked up a new boss mechanic for Chaos Lord Ledgermayne which will require you to pay attention during the fight. I'm not going to say anything else about it but you members get to figure it out before anyone else. Have fun!
Stratos, Beleen and I have been combing the suggestion threads and we will be updating the Player Suggestion shop in Yulgar's Inn this weeked as well!
Forum Question
A lot of you have already tied your AE game accounts to the Battleon Master Account System but even more of you haven't yet. What little bonus would it take to get you to start a Master Account and attach your accounts to it? A free inventory space? An achievement both in AQW and on your Master Account? A handful of free ACs?

I'd Like To Go On A Socknic With You... | WAR returns to Battleon!
There are rumors foating around about this new vampire lord named Incubus.
Safiria has said that he was once one of her loyal vampire subjects but has decided to strike out on his own and try to grab a piece of the pie for himself.
(There's a blood pie joke in there somewhere)
We're not EXACTLY sure what he's planning but it involves him taking over Battleon AND Mystcroft with his army og Vampire Ghouls, Vampire Bats and Hemogoblins.
This is a call for ALL HEROES to defend Battleon. It's time to put aside your differences and join the battle. It doesn;t matter if you are a member or a non-member, good or evil, pirate or ninja, werewolf or vampire... we need every one of you!
This war features an interesting twist. If you are one of the heroes who has been stockpiling Candy Corn then this is for you. Donate enough Candy Corn to the war effort and the MEGA Defender medals will start dropping faster... and faster.... and faster. It all depends on how much you donate!
There are brand new item drops coming from the war monsters and some REALLY great stuff drops off of Incubus... if you can get to him in time to save Battleon and Mystcroft!
ONE-EYED DOLL returns to AQW!
Kimberly has decided to give you some musical encouragement to help you in the war effort.You can hear One-Eyed Doll's new single, "You're A Vampire" as you fight through waves and waves of bloodthirsty minions.
In an AdventureQuest Worlds FIRST, we are also happy to be able to show you the brand new MUSIC VIDEO for "You're A Vampire", starring Kimberly and Junior and directed by Patrick Kendall. This is also a special version of the video that you won't see anywhere else (until it hits YouTube). AQW player XYO lent us his talents and edited AQW in-game art into this special AQW version! First thing on the agenda: our 2nd Birthday Event is going RARE!
This is your last chance to get your hands on AQWorlds’ Second Birthday Rare items. On Wednesday, November 3rd, all of the Rare Items throughout the event will FOREVER disappear and will NEVER be offered again.
So for all you Rare Item collectors out there, or if you’re just starting off your collection, or if you just wanna have a piece of AQWorlds history, then hurry up and play through the Birthday Event to make sure to get all those Rares while you still can!

I do not know if the items during tomorrow night’s release are going to be perma Rare, or Event Rare, or Seasonal Rare, or Medium Rare (mmm, sounds delicious). I guess we will all have to wait until tomorrow to find out!

Sockos Beast | Megaweekend!
This weekend we have the Birthday Event still going strong, the re-opening of the last 2 years worth of Mogloween and lots of great Seasonal Rares and a brand new chapter in Arcangrove, with a deadly Chaos Beast to fight and tons of GREAT NEW items to grab!
You'll be happy to note that there is no puzzle in this week's Arcangrove saga but a CRAZY hard quest that may take you a while. Get some snacks!

Sockhaven BETA! | Get Your Beta On!
BladeHaven is our newest game. it's got FIRST PERSON slashing action, achievements, terrified villagers, Jimmy The Eye... pretty much evertyhing you'd want out of a single-player, first person webgame!
Beta Testing for this game begins today! You'll need a Battleon Master Account linked to your other game accounts if you want to be one of the first to play BladeHaven.

Mogloween Starts TOMORROW!
Tomorrow, you will be able to relive all the Mogloween fun for the past 2 years starting TOMORROW! You will even be able to grab a few of the Seasonal Rare Drops and AC items, but the SEASONAL RARE SHOP and the PUMPKIN LORD CLASS will be released alongside a number of ALL NEW spooky Mogloween items in NEXT week's all new Mogloween adventure!
We're trying out our new merge shop system in next week's release so you will need to complete quests and farm monsters ro different types of candy that you can excahge for all the great Seasonal Rares in the shop!

Also starting tomorrow, you run to the top of Arcangrove Tower with your (kind of) completed Supreme Arcane Staff and enter the Para-Elemental Plane of Magic!
With Rayst by your side, you'll have to take on the legenday Mana Golem! You're closing in on Chaos Lord Ledgermayne. Can you stop him from sapping all the magic from Lore?

Sockhancement | All The Way To Level 35
Sorry for the delay. We have added new Enhamcements in the Healer, Fighter, Thief, Wizard, Luck, Hybrid, & Spellbreaker shops. The new Enh range in level from levels 31-35 so you can get your power up!
Remember, you should always pick the right Enhancements to compliment your class skills so do a little research. Also remember that the stores don't always have the best level for you, so you might want to play around with a few builds and see what works best for you!

Happy Sockday! | Level Cap Raised to 35!
AdventureQuest Worlds has turned 2 years old today! In addition to the 2nd Upholder Offer (which lasts until November 2nd), the special AQW Birthday Event hosted by Paul and Storm, featuring Jonathan Coulton, and adding 10 more purchasable backpack item slots (speak to Valencia in Battleon to buy yours!) we have also just raised the level cap to 35!
A few things to note: New Enhancements will be added to the game early next week, and remember that you can only get XP from monsters within twenty levels of your own level. So if you are level 30, you will only get XP from things higer than level 10.
Some people have noticed that the Undead Artix's legendary weapon, the Shadowreaper of DOOM, is a NON-MEMBER item even though it drops from Super Udead Artix, a MEMBER-ONLY challenge fight and want to know the score.
Since a lot of our 2nd Upholders from around the globe have decided to only upgrade for a month (where available) we wanted them to take something away from the membership other than the Onyx Star Sword and the 2nd Upholder Badge on their character page. A little bonus for helping to keep AQW alive and celebrating our birthday with us!
Remember, the event will be running until NEXT FRIDAY. If you decide support AQW by becoming a 2nd Upholder (and we hope you do :) ) you will have an entire week to get the Shadowreaper of DOOM (along with the member-only event rares)!

Level-Adin | It is 10-10-10 & AQWorlds is leveling up
To celebrate, the level cap will be raising to 35! This will take place in just a few hours with a server restart. Also today... somewhere in Tampa,FL... at the same time the level cap is being raised... Korin the project lead of MechQuest, is getting married in real-life! Best 10-10-10 ever! (... which is good, because it is a long time until 3010)
New enhancements will be coming with next week's release. So take your time leveling up and have fun!

Sockflection | Enter the Mirror Realm!
AQW's Birthday Event has officailly begun! We have opened the pre-event room which allows you to see the first 2 cutscenes in the event, grants you access to the special AC Rare Shop and introduces you to PAUL and STORM!
Most of the AE staff are online now with Paul and Storm (whose largest show is about 12k people, let';s see if we can beat it!). Come hang out with us (if you can find us) and say HI! The full event will begin in SOON so get ready... the fate of 2 WORLDS rests on YOU!
Thanks to the Miltonius who did the character design for Drakath, and his new armor (which you can get by fighting the SUPER hard boss at the end of the event) and animating a staggering 8 cutscenes this week! Thanks also to Dage, Skyline and J6 for making some truly stunning items that you will ONLY be able to get during the birthday event. Thanks to Llussion and our new coder Yorumi for making this mess work. Ready for Cake | Yep. It’s Thursday. And there’s A LOT going on.
I know how much you all love pink, so I took it upon myself to add as much of it in the Design Notes as possible which, as we all know, is probably not the best idea considering when Artix gets around to seeing this…
SO! You all know by now that tomorrow is the AdventureQuest Worlds’ 2nd Birthday Event!

But there’s more. Oh yes, there is ALWAYS more. So I’m going to try my best to answer all your questions ahead of time so that everyone is on the same page.
AQWorlds 10/10/10 Birthday on 10/08/10
Your favorite MMO is turning 2 years old on 10/10/10! But… tomorrow we are releasing the Event. We know October 8th is NOT the same as October 10th… but we couldn’t wait that long for cake. I mean, c’mon, can you blame us? Do you SEE the size of that cake up there? Mmmm.
So yes! We will be celebrating AQWorlds’ 10/10/10 Birthday on October 8th, 2010. It should begin sometime around Sundown where we live. So….7pm-ish EST.
Level Cap Increase
The Level Cap is increasing all the way to 35! YEESSSSS! However (a very, very important however), you will NOT be able to get over Lvl 30 until Saturday.
WHAT?!!!?1?!11!? (See. Knew this was going to happen.)
So why aren’t we raising the Lvl Cap when we release tomorrow? It’s simple. This is going to be our biggest release yet, in player-turnout and in file-size. There are going to be soooo many of our friends logging in the second we launch the event that, if our servers don’t crash then, they just might when every Lvl 30 levels up around the same time.
You all want to play the event when we release it, right? No one likes being disconnected when in the middle of an awesome Cutscene or pwning the Boss during a heated fight. With this being said, you and all your Lvl 30 buddies (the Staff included) will not get to Level Up until mid-day Saturday.
And then we will see who will be the first to hit Level 35! I can’t wait (…but I have to until Sat) =P
Inventory Increasing to 75!
Awesome! More bag space! On Friday (for real) you can purchase up to 10 more Bag Slots, giving you a max inventory space of 75. SWEET!
These 10 new bag spaces will come in quite handy when getting oodles of new Event RARES.
Event Rares! ZOMG do tell more!
Oh yes. Event RARES. This means, without a doubt, all of the items during this event will NEVER be offered again. So for all you rare-item hunters out there (and I know there’s a lot), make sure you get everything you can because once we remove the Event (scheduled for next Friday the 15th) you will not be able to get the gear ever again.
There will be a Pre-Event Shop that will open—as the name suggests—before we release the entire Birthday event. Just like the Friday the 13th Pre-Event Shop, all the items in this shop will sell for AdventureCoins. This way, you can store these Event Rares in your bank FOR FREE and FOREVER! No one likes to give up one rare item to make room for another, so all these bad boys are AC Items ^___^
Even More Event Rares!
Of COURSE there are going to be more items. All the other Event Rares that aren’t in the shop will be dropped by the Monsters in the Mirror Realm. I can’t tell you how many new items there are going to be… because I’m not too sure myself. We will all just have to wait until tomorrow!

Member-Only Exclusives
For all you 2nd Upholders out there, there will be Member-only exclusive perks throughout the birthday event! Along with the coolest Event Rares being Mem only, there will also be a special quest to get a special weapon and even a Challenge Fight area. The Boss here is bound to have some wicked drops… if you can defeat him, that is….
If you haven’t already upgraded to a Member, now is the best time to do so! If you support the game by becoming a Member in October (or having an active Membership on November 2nd) you will obtain the 2nd Upholder Badge, be bestowed with the ultra rare Onyx Star Sword on November 3rd, and get to show off the brand-new Member Only Event Rares during tomorrow’s release!

Sock Upholder | Just A Quick Update!
Some of you have noticed that, like last year, the 2nd Upholder Badge on the character page is there, but greyed out. It will go full color on Nov 3rd.
The rest of you have noticed that there are people who have never purchased a membership who have the grey badge and many of you who are members well into the next year don't have them.
For example, my AQW membership doesn't expire until 2020, but I don't have the badge on my CP.
Zhoom and Ai No Miko are working on this and expect to have it displaying properly as soon as they can.

Shaman Is Coming!
Minimal has finished an early version of the Arcangrove Class, Shaman! Dumoose, Stratos and I will start testing and balancing today (YAY! We get to play with fun new powers!). Shaman Class will be a NON-MEMBER class, but will require RANK 10 ARCANGROVE REP.
You'll have more of a chance to earn more Arcangrove reputation this Friday when we release the next area of Arcangrove, the very volcanic Mount Mafic.
You'll also get the change to grab some of Dage's new volcanic themed weapons!

Excited-adin | Live-Events, Anniversarys, and Holidays OH MY!
Greetings and salutations friends. It is nearly October... and on the crazy date of 10/10/10 AQWorld's celebrates it's second Birthday... and you are invited to the party as the guest of honor! But nothing here ever goes as planned. Last year, the world was flipped on its head as millions of players BECAME UNDEAD and sieged Liongfang's castle to save the AE Team.... this year, things will be even CRAZIER as all new musical guests will be arriving and *Cysero covers Artix's mouth to stop him from talking* "Sorry guys. You know he can't keep a secret."
Artix: What? I can so keep a secret!
Cysero: No you can't
Artix: Yes I can!

Cysero: Alright, what's a secret you're keeping?
Artix: I have not told a single soul that in my spare time I made an AdventureQuest card game and that Toys R Us found out about it and is actually coming down to meet with us about it! It is really fun. It is a single deck game, a little like Munchin, so you only need one deck for you and your friends to play. It plays super fast for 2 to 4 players. Matches that are 2 vs 2 are my favorite because there are so many fun loopholes in the rules to mess up your opponents big attacks in unpredictable ways!

3 Months of Holiday Special Events!
The final three months of the year are always THE BEST. Mid October, In AQWorlds (and in our other games too!) the haunted holiday of Mogloween begins! The town of Mystcroft will appear with old quests and many new ones. This year we have housing, so we should decorate our houses for Mogloween and have house-to-house trick or treating! Then (assuming you are able to defeat the current Chaos Lord... and he does not win and take over the world) a brand new saga will begin. Steampunk zone? Maybe Doomwood? In November it is time for the Harvest Festival... and we can try to survive Oishii's cooking! Then, the snow will start falling in December as Frostval approaches -- there will be snow, presents, ice dragons, and Mmmmmm hot moglinberry juice! Then.... it is time for the New Years Party! It all starts with the big birthday bash on 10/10/10 -- which is one event you will NOT want to miss!
