Legion Legend: Dark Birthday Prophecy
Screams ring out as light floods the once-dark room. Candles extinguished hours ago burn brightly, making shadows dance across the cold chamber walls. The DreamWeaver shudders and clutches her amulet tightly.
Her assistant grabs a quill and scroll, hurrying to record the prophecy the crone gasps out:
Time and fate, the warrior's bane, when eternal glory is the ultimate prize.
New soldiers flood into the shadows surrounding the SoulForge, vowing loyalty to Dage the Evil, ruler of the Underworld. He knows a weapon is only as deadly as its creator... and the metal used to forge it.
What is dead may never die, and he will see the Legion rise.
Looking over the masses of men and women sharpening blades and polishing armors, he sees a new future taking shape. The souls before him will make great warriors IF their edges are sharp enough.
Behind the SoulForge, a hallway lies.
Many battles lay ahead if they are to fully conquer the UnderWorld. Even now, the creatures within it resist, but they are no match for Legion soldiers. No army in history has been stronger, more controlled, or gathered for a greater purpose.

The past is dead, he knows, and the dead gone to a realm he cannot touch. Dage looks to the future, to the blades he he will craft, the warriors who will wield them, and the wars they will wage. The Undead Legion are strong, but he will make them stronger. And as their power grows, so does his own.
Chaos Lord Lionfang is still searching for the one item that might serve as a weapon against Chaos and he's letting nothing stand in his way. He has discovered that the Darkblood relic called the Tears Of The Mother has been hidden at the bottom of the Darkblood Death Pits and now it's a race to reach the relic.
Since the beginning of history the various Darkblood tribes of Thunderforge waged war with each other for the precious Rotstone mines which became known as the Death Pits. They would toss their captives down into the poisonous mines and work them to death.
Once the tribes came together and built Falguard, uniting all the Darkblood under one Primarch, they continued the practice sending out slavers to capture humans, horcs and other creatures to do their mining for them.
Now the Death Pits are haunted by the memories of a thousand, thousand lost souls. The walls and floors are littered with the bones of the dead (and undead). This dark, bleak hole in the earth is where the Primarch has hidden the Tears of the Mother and sent Logash to protect them.
If you survive the journey to the bottm of the Death Pits, great treasures await you un the form of an unlockable shop and several monster drops for Members and non-members alike.

Tomorrow is Dage The Evil's birthday and he has sent a shadow of himself to Battleon with enticing birthday rares to lure fresh souls into his Soul Forge, where there are a number of new Dage items for Legion members to earn!
His Birthday Shop contains 12 AC Rare items, including the DarkCaster Arcanist Ring, the Ascended Paragon Pet with 2 farming quests that provide items for the SoulForge and the new Ascended DarkCaster set. You can also use your gold to purchase Essence Of The Undead Legend which Dage has assured us will return on his Birthday every year (and possibly a few other special events).

This Friday the new Chaos Lord Lionfang saga continues in the Darkblood city of Falguard.

This week you will enter the mysterious Darkblood city of FALGUARD, whose doors have remained closed to outsiders for years. The Darkblood Scroll has been translated and a newly empowered CHAOS LORD LIONFANG plans to test out his new powers searching for the Darkblood weapon that may be able to defeat Chaos.
The City will feature the Thunderforge Reputation Shop (on Madra herself), A Weapon Shop, An Armor Shop, a Hair Shop, at least one dark alley, a few quests to grind Thunderguard Reputation (more for Members) and, of course, the storyline quests.
Can you find the secret weapon of the Darkblood before Chaos Lord Lionfang rips Falguard apart?

We have new treasure chest items coming for all of you who have unlocked been stocking the treasure chests up and Members who have been stockpiling your free Treasure Chest Keys from Twilly
We have TWO Mod birthday shops coming Friday as well. Captain Stratos, Co-head Moderator and Bug Master General and Vokun, one of our newest volunteer assistant developers!
The 1 Year Member Golden Set Member Package is going away, to be replaced by the Jade Samurai 1 Year Member Set which is exactly the same as the other package but with a different set.
Stuff Coming In The Future
We're working on some new Membership perks for you guys, in addition to the one that Alina talked about earlier. We are trying to workout a system where Members would simply get MORE ACs. If you buy the 2000 AC package and you're a Member then you would get more than 2000 ACs.
How many more? Still working on making it happen (It may never happen, but we're trying) so we'll saw for sure at that time.
Next week Quibble will be coming back to Battleon and will be bringing a host of all new, slightly used rares from the future (and past in this case). A few of you were asking if Xavier Lionfang's Silver Lion Armor would be released during the Lionfang Saga... well, it is.
Funny story: ORIGINALLY the Lionfang armor art was silver, but went back for a recolor and came out the gold version that we all know. Makes sense that Xavier would get his big brother's hand-me-downs.
Changes to Battleon will start happening soon. Things will start moving, appearing, vanishing, shifting, sliding and expanding.
The Search For New Mods Continues
Reens and Stratos are still looking for a few good players who help expand the Moderator team of AQW.

Didn't bother to read the directions,
Skimmed them but didn't pay attention, or
Can't read English well enough to be a Mod.
No matter which way you go, if you can't even apply correctly then you lacking some very necessary qualifications that we need in our Mods.
People have been asking me who "won the Mod contest?". I can't stress enough that this is not a contest to be won, it's a volunteer job to be applied for. It's a pretty serious and necessary position and we have some fairly high standards for what we expect from our Mods.
It's hours and hours of helping, reading thousands of player reports and trying your best to help other players. It's a thankless job but that's OK because we don't pay you anything. We even put restrictions on the items that Mods get. The only rewards are a gold name, the chance to test the releases before they are finished and the chance to help make AQW a better and safer game for everyone.

Xyo's Fan Video "Beleen's Pink Madness"
If you have not seen this before, this is a fan video made by the amazing animator Xyo. The way they did the voices caught us off guard so much that we sprayed our monitors with our drinks. Most players know I have a rare and deadly allergy to the color pink. Simply touching the color pink could actually cause my hand to catch on fire and explode. (These statements have not been evalutated by the FDA.) Beleen, who loves the color pink... often tests the limits of my ability to endure pink.
This week, the Member Only Skyguard quest line comes to a dramatic conclusion. We've also got an update to the Player Suggestion shop coming as well as some stuff that was meant to go in last week.
Today we will be removing Death's Rares, Adding the special Quest to the Golden Dragon Statue house item along with its very rare reward.
Friday we will also be celebrating (read as: poking fun at) the release of the final Twilight movie with the "Twilight of the Lycan" Limited TIME Shop. Sparkly Lycan Armor? Maybe?
Today is also J6's Birthday and he has released his birthday items. We'll he released some of them. He admitted that his old age is getting to him and he forgot some of the items but will be adding them later today as well. two of the items but by the time you read this they will all be there.

Bugs and Fixes
This week have a few more things we're going to try to release including the second stab at the tutorial with a lot of the changed that you guys suggested including adding a brief shop run through and attaching the Save The Princess From the Dragon Dragon From The Princess part. We were going to leave it in but separate but so many of you mentioned it being your first memory of the game that we decided to tack it on after you say goodbye to Serval.
We will also be adding the Character Page Achievement for completing the tutorial.
We've got the new Book of Lore working (kind of) but there are several issues that will get ironed out this week. One is that people who did not test Guilds on the PTR were able to get the reward scythe. The scythes have been removed from people who did not help test and the shop properly secured.
A lot of you thought it was a bug that you could open shops that you hadn't unlocked. That was intentional. If you tried yo BUY something you would realize that you could not buy things from shops which you had not unlocked. We added the ability to LOOK at the items to see if you liked them prior to purchasing them. This only applies to badges that are visible all the time. Other badges (and shops) like most HeroMart badges are invisible until you unlock the badge by purchasing that HeroMart Item.We will be adding a note to the shops that you won't be able to BUY items from the shop until the badge is unlocked on all badges with shops.
Some of you are reporting that the scrolling feature is broken, which we are looking into (it might be the book or might be the fact that the latest version of the Flash Player has SEVERE issues with the FireFox browser).
Lastly the BIG issue is with the Recruit-A-Friend system currently to be found in Twilly. The revamped system will give you Friend gems for getting your friends to play, and you also get an % of the gold and XP that they earn on your own character not to mention 200 ACs for every friend that decides to become a Member.
Unfortunately, it's causing the game to crash horribly. Yorumi is currently looking at the system. Hopefully a fix will be found soon but expect a couple of restarts today.
Many of you commented on Friday that you really liked the new Book of Lore design, finding it a lot simpler to navigate and more fun to use. Hopefully after we get it working as intented then it will be a tool you go to a lot more often.
You managed, against all odds, to save all SIX major AE games, including AQW. You have unlocked a guided tour of the AE Secret Underground Lab. If you speak to Artix then you will see that you have also unlocked this year's Birthday Rare Class, the Chunin Class.
You can buy the class (and all the extras for once) from Itzachi until the class goes rare around our NEXT Birthday. However, until the birthday event closes you will be able to EARN the class and all the extras completely free and all you have to do is help clean up Ebilcorp's leftovers!
Artix, located in the underground lab map will give you the quests you need to earn the class and also has the merge shop where you can buy them. There are no dailies this time, just a little effort and you can earn the class as fast or slow as you want! Members get the added bonus of being able to earn the class THREE TIMES faster than non-members.
Just REMEMBER, the chance to earn the class is a special bonus for those of you who were here to help celebrate AQW's 4th birthday and AE's 10th! Once the birthday event goes rare in 1 month, then you will no longer be able to earn the class. Don't Worry. 1 month is PLENTY of time for anyone to earn it.
You will need to turn in the quests and re-accept them every time. We've been forced to take this measure to help combat botters so you can thank those people if you find that a little annoying.
Now let's talk about the class a little.
CHUNIN CLASS SKILL SET
The Chunin is a higher rank of ninja than the average ninja (genin). Please don't start talking about Naturo... this is drawn from the REAL LIFE ninja ranking system. Naruto just got that right. In a very quick Twitter more people wanted a multi-attack class which was what we also gathered from various threads in the AQW forum discussions. It also seems to be the general feeling that we haven't released enough Warrior/Melee based classes lately so the Chunin is a Warrior based Multi-Hit class.
It's designed to be GREAT at farming, interesting in PvP and still able to solo a mid-level boss if you play it smart. Combine this with an XP Boost and It should help a lot of you reach level 50 VERY quickly. There was request to take a break from stacking auras so this class is SUPER SIMPLE to use, recalling the bygone days of the base classes.
As it's Warrior based class I suggest WARRIOR Enhancements. It's also based on the Warrior regen model which is a little counter-intuitive with a class that uses it's dodge and haste reduction to survive but it's been balanced with that in mind. Plus, there are always potions.
AUTO ATTACK
2 second cooldown
A basic attack, taught to all adventurers.
TSUNAMI STRIKE
15 mana, 4 second cooldown
Hits up to two enemies, showing them greatly for 4 seconds.
Decently strong attack, very cheap and very straight forward. You hit then, they take damage and you increase your survivability by virtue of the fact that at least 2 of your attackers are attacking more slowly.
PARALYZING WIND
20 mana, 6 second cooldown
Hits up to three enemies for moderate damage, reducing all of their chances to hit greatly for 6 seconds.
In testing and balancing I found this to be my go-to power, especially in PvP. You hit them, it does slightly more damage than the first power while still being relatively cheap AND increasing your survivability by virtue of the fact that at least 3 of your attackers are now have a 50% LOWER chance to hit you and your allies for 6 seconds.
SPINNING DRAGON
40 mana, 6 second cooldown
Hits up to two enemies near you dealing moderate damage. This attack also has a 50% chance to reduce their next hit to 0 Damage.
Again, straight forward but an interesting possible bonus effect. Hit 2 targets for decent damage and increase your survivability by virtue of the fact that at least 2 of your attackers have a 50% chance to do 0 Damage on their next hit. This comes in really handy in a boss fight and have some REALLY interesting effects in PvP as you have the ability to reduce a foe's nuke to 0 if you are lucky and time it right.
SHADOW STRENGTH & NINJA'S GAMBIT
Rank 4 passives
Increase HASTE by 5% AND Increase DAMAGE OUTPUT by 15%
Increase DAMAGE TAKEN by 10%
This is where things get interesting. You've probably realized by now that this class is designed to debuff the enemy and survive even without any heals. Haste increases your Damage Per Second by making you attack faster, and a flat 15% increase to your damage across the board is HUGE, but we balance out this new strength with an interesting weakness. You are squishier and easier to kill, IF they hit you... All the more reason to NOT LET THEM HIT YOU.
CHI BLAST
45 mana, 25 second cooldown
You focus your chi into a quick and brutal attack, hitting up to three monsters around you for high damage with a small chance to stun them. Using all of your chi in a single attack also leaves you stunned and open to attack for 4 seconds.
This is a weapon of last resort. It's very handy while farming, and an interesting tactic in PvP. You can nail up to 3 enemies and you might even stun one, two or maybe even all three of them BUY you have a 100% chance to stun yourself for 4 crucial seconds in which you open yourself to all attackers. Avoid this in boss battles unless the boss summons minions (function to come?).
ANCESTOR'S FAVOR
Rank 10 passive
Rarely, the spirits of your ancestors flow into you increasing your haste, dodge, mana regen and health regen greatly for a short time.
This is a GREAT rank 10. It turns you into SuperNinja for 10 seconds. You get a small HoT, Your mana regen increases, you become virtually unhittable AND you start attacking on fast forward. Don't count on seeing this happen a lot, but when it does, it's REALLY FUN!

Fishing Badge
The King Fisher Character Page Badge is now up on your character pages.
Of course, you must be a King Fisher with maxed out Fishing Rep to obtain this permanent pendant professing your piscatorial prowess.
Grenadier Buff
The Members who have Rank 10 Skyguard Reputation (and a few who weren't rank 10, actually) got to preview the Member Only Grenadier Class this weekend. The overall impressions were that it's a lot of fun and an interesting class build but they had problems with mana regen and felt that it was a touch under-powered, especially considering that it was the first Member Only class is a long time.
So this week we will be BUFFING Skyguard Grenadier. Here's what we are doing...
Increasing DPS overall.
Decreasing the mana cost for Flashbang, Sleeping Gas and Reactive Grenade by 5 mana each.
Flashbang's base debuff will be changed to CRIT reduction instead of HIT reduction.
Rank 4 Passive Adrenaline Rush will be changed to 8% Damage Reduction instead of 10% Dodge.
In testing Stratos was able to solo Ledgemayne and I was able to solo both Ledgermayne and Wolfwing with the fully ranked class so this class is no slouch already if you know how to use it and how to manage your mana, but this should make it REALLY nice.
By the time you read this the changes will already be in effect.
Don't forget that Itzachi, the class dealer in Battleon, will be selling this Member Only class for 2000 ACs starting this Friday if you would rather take the shortcut rather than ranking all the way to 10.
Leap Day Is Coming!
Every 4 years the calendar racks up a full day of time that was left over from all the other days. The solution to this problem is adding a day every 4th year. This is why we have a February 29th this Wednesday and Feb is normally a 28 day month.
We've decided that we want to help you leap forward too.
Starting some time on Wednesday, Feb 29th, we will be adding a Leap Day NPC to Battleon who will give you 4 simple quests. Each quest will reward you with a one-time free hour long BOOST for your XP, GOLD, REPUTATION or CLASS RANK.
You will have 24 hours from the time that we release this to get the Leap Day Boosts and then they will be gone. Plan ahead and remember that this only happens once every 4 years!
I CAN HAS AUSTRALIA DAY?!
This weekend I got to hang out with the winner of this round of the I CAN HAS MOD contest, HERZER HERRING!
She is from Australia and her wish is that we add an Australia Day NPC to the game who would sell Australian Themed Items!
As per her wish, Mick "Crocodile" Dundoo will be coming to Battleon this Friday selling a number of AUS themed items and house items which were almost entirely suggest by Herzer Herring.
As for the Golden Cheezburger, this one will work a little differently. She wished that it be changed into an rare Australian Themed HOUSE, based on the iconic Sydney Opera House! In order to get your house you will need to talk to Mick Dundoo and trade the Cheezburer in for the house.
You MUST have a Golden Cheezburger Deluxe to get this rare house and once Mick Dundoo leaves, you will never be able to get the house again!
There will also be other items like dual Bowie Knives (that's not two knives, mate... THIS is two knives!), a Rugby Uniform Armor in AUS Olympic colors of Green and Gold, A green and gold "Boomer"ang weapon, A Cricket Bat with the AUS flag on it, Kangaroo and Barry the Platypus pets and some cool house items like an AUS flag for your wall and A Croc skin rug!
ALL OF THE ITEMS IN THE SHOPS WILL BE FOR EVERYONE! NON-MEMBERS and MEMBERS!
I mentioned the rare house over Twitter this weekend and it was met with an amazing amount of complaining. I was really surprised and a little hurt to see so many people griping about getting a completely free house based on the wish of a fellow player who did not want any recognition for herself (she didn't even want to be the NPC when I offered) but only a little recognition for the country she loves and calls her home. Thanks to everyone who saw this gift for what it is and accepted it with an excited smile.
After brainstorming item ideas for the shop we farmed Skyguard for a while and I showed her some of the cool mod powers she could use while she was a mod, like going to secret mod only maps and even going back in time to closed events (While we were time traveling I let her pick up Alpha Pirate for herself as well as some other rares from past areas).
She is a heck of a player, a loyal AQW Member & Supporter and a lot of fun to hang out with. Herzer Herring, it was a true pleasure getting to hang out with you. Thanks!

Etherstorm Goes Out With A Bang!
The Eterstorm Saga is closing starting with this weekend's war. The outcome of the entire area will be decided by the outcome of the war. You will be able to fight on the side of Good, Evil or even Desoloth.
This weekend we will ALSO be releasing the Elemental Dracomaner Class for Etherstorm Rank 10. There will be an AC version in Itzachi as well but after this class we will probably start doing what we did with Grenadier and letting the Rank 10 people have it a week before anyone else so they can get a head start on mastering the class.

Right! Moving onwards from my old-lady rant… tomorrow is my birthday, so naturally I would have a Birthday Shop full of pink goodies.

All the items in my shop cannot be bought with gold. They cannot be bought with ACs either. Some items are Member Only, and others are available for everyone. My birthday shop is a Merge Shop, meaning that you have to trade things in in order to get those pink-a-licious items!
You’re going to need the original Weapon, Cape, Pet, or Armor (currently found somewhere within the game) in addition to stacks of Fuchsia Dye and/or Magenta Dye that can be earned from completing my challenging Scavenger Hunt Quests.

Inventory Increase
What’s better than getting a bunch of presents for my birthday? Why, how about… getting an inventory bag increase to store all my presents in! YEEEAAAH!
Come tomorrow, you can purchase an additional 20 Inventory Spaces for you Bag, for a maximum total of 120 Slots. That’s A LOT. It’s a good thing you’ve been working out, because lugging around 120 weapons, armors, & pets could prove quite challenging for those without adequate upper body strength! /flex

The They Might Be Giants / AQW 3rd Birthday Event Continues!
The second part to our special birthday event (featuring the music and amazingly distorted voice talents of John and John from They Might be Giants) continues tonight!
This week we are adding three new areas (including the member only dino-caves), tons of new quests, cutscenes, monsters, monster drops, new house items, new AC Rare items as promised, and a new Achievement! If you played through the entire event then you already know that we left you, young Drakath, John F. and John L. hurtling through time and space.
You could use a little practice controlling the Collector's Vigilette.
NEW CLASS: Vindicator Of They!
Also, as promised we have released a new class especially crafted for the They Might Be Giants event... The Vindicator Of They!
Here are a few fun facts about this new class: Every skill (other than Auto Attack) references a They Might Be Giants song or line of lyrics. Three of the skills have new battle effect graphics that were designed JUST for this class setting it apart from every other class in AQW & finally, we only have the rights to the event for 1 year so this class WILL go rare when the rest of the event leaves.
You can earn this item from the Token daily quests in the event (Members can earn tokens twice as fast!), the use the tokens to purchase the class, helm, sword and cape from the Token Shop.
If you would spend ACs to have the class RIGHT NOW, you can buy the AC version of the class from the Johns in the Collection map or from Itzachi in Battleon, but remember that you can only buy the CLASS with ACs. If you want the rest of the set then you'll have to do those dailies.
To help you rank up the class a little faster Itzachi will also be selling CLASS POINT BOOSTS for ACs and since we're tossing that in we might as well include the REPUTATION BOOSTS also. Once you equip and use these Boosts, you will double the rate that they increase for a while.

Higher Level Adventurer Enhancements!
A lot of you have reached higher levels faster that we gave you credit for. Due to server issues we had not planned to release any of the higher level Enh until next week, but we don't want to leave you in the cold so we will be releasing level 41-45 Adventurer Enh. You can find those in the ENHANCEMENTS BUTTON in Battleon.

AQW has only one Birthday a year and every time we try and out-do ourselves and I think we really kicked it round the moon this time. I'd like to thank the entire AQW team for putting in extra effort, coming in on days off, staying late and generally owning face on this event.
I'd like to thank They Might Be Giants for not only allowing us to bring them into AdventureQuest Worlds but also for all of their creative input when creating the event that lead from a few rough ideas to a full event with insane voice acting, evil doppelgangers, time traveling aliens and one of our very favorite bands ever. These guys had their own stuff going on... tours, shows and their own lives... but were never too busy to make or take a call to work on the event. It was really, truly great working with them. In real life they are funny, fun, down-to-earth, creative and passionate about what they do (which is a little bit of everything).
Real life story: We were about to get last week's event up for testing and I was on the phone with John F. asking him when would be a good time for the guys to run through the event so they could see what we were doing to them. After tossing around some times, I mentioned that it was my Birthday. John F said "Oh man! Well, we break for Birthdays," and shifted his entire schedule around so we could test the next morning just so I could go to dinner with my wife that night.
Finally, I want to thank you guys. If you consider the hundreds of thousands of players who have taken part in the event so far, this has been the BIGGEST BIRTHDAY PARTY any of us have ever been invited to. I've said it before but here it is again... you are the game. Without players, especially fantastic ones like you guys, a game is nothing more than a bunch of code that nobody ever sees. Thanks each and every one of you for helping to make this our biggest and best birthday yet!

3RD UPHOLDER!
October is AQWorlds' anniversary month! And THAT means that anyone who upgrades (as long as your upgrade expires ON or AFTER November 4th, 2011) will become a 3rd Upholder! That'll get you a sweet character page achievement and the EPIC Platinum Star Sword!(The Star Sword will not be released until November 4th.)
But first, I would like to talk about the AQWorlds team. Actually, I would like to say a number. 156. Yes, one hundred and fifty six. What is that number? That is the minimum number of weekly releases the AQW team has created since the game went live. (Of course, as you know the real number is closer to 200) Every single week for three years, starting on Monday and completed by Friday, the AQWorlds team has written, drawn, animated, and released brand new content for you and your fellow players to enjoy. To date the team has created 390 areas, 714 monsters, 9,391 items, and 1,315 quests. When we started, they said it was impossible to do weekly updates on a MMO like we did on a single player game... *dramatic pause* But you believed in us and supported us... so, this week we celebrate our 3rd year of our favorite weekly-updated, web based MMO! I would like to give credit, congratulations and praise to developers, moderators and support staff who make AQWorld's releases possible each and every week! I hope you will join me in this by raising your weapon, spellbook, or dangerously clawed were-arm in a war-cheer of "Battle on!" on The BattleOn Forums, FaceBook and Twitter.

Ctrl+Alt+Del Event Details
It’s the moment we have all been waiting for…for the past week and a half. Cysero worked his magic with the creator of the webcomic Ctrl + Alt + Del and we will be hosting the in-game event this Friday!
The last week of January is a very special time of year for CAD fans... it's Winter-een-mas, a holiday just for gamers! But this Winter-een-mas… something is not quite right (other than the whole holiday not bring quite right). The Winter-een-mas Crown has been stolen and Ethan, Lucas, Lilah, and Zeke need your help getting it back!
There will be Winter-een-mas rare items pulled directly from the pages (web pages) of Ctrl + Alt + Del plus some stuff you've never seen before… like the 16-bit Item Sets in the AC Event Rare Shop!
Digital DOOMknight Armor and Helm, Blade of 16-Bit Awe, and the Light of Digital Destiny!
All these 16-bit digital items (and more!) will be in the AC event rare shop along with a 16 bit pet. Nearly all of the DROPS from the event will be non-member. BUT! After this week, the event goes Member Only so only members will have access to those drops. And when the event goes Member, the AC shop is GONE. Just a fair heads-up for everyone who is reading this now =D
Completely Color Customizable CardCaster Class?!

This completely color custom Class—based off Base, Accessory, Trim, and Eye Color—is still in the making and has no scheduled release date yet. But this Class is special. Very special. The only way to get this Class is by getting your hands on the not-yet-released BattleOn Game Cards set!
Artix, Mido, Cy, Dumoose, and the entire Team have been hard at work on a physical card game that will hit store shelves in the next few months (if everything works out like we hope it will).The card game is SUPER INCREDIBLY fun and I cannot wait until it is actually finished!
I’m sure Artix will give you some more spoilers as the card game nears its final stage. But for now… that’s all I can say. If I haven’t already said too much. Yipes!

Birthday Event Closes Today!

Incubus Is Nearly HERE!
You guys have ripped through the current war, and as I write this the war is hovering at around 93% complete. By this evening you will be able to face down Vampire Lord Incubus! Pumpkin Princesses and Princes!
The Pumpkin Carving contest is done and we are in the process of marrowing down the winner or winners from all of the great entries that we got! The Grand Prize winner or winners each get 5000 AdventureCoins! I have also made a special pumpkin themed sword for the winner or winners which I have named "For the Gourd". This will be one of the rarest items in the entire game!
I always love having contests like this. It's really great to see how creative you guys can be with something as simple as a veggie.
If you've ever had one of your suggestions make it into one of Artix Entertainment's games and watched it come to live right on the screen then you know how we feel when we see ideas from the games we make come to life in the real world through your creativity! You guys are really amazing!

Chaos Lord Fight: MEMBERS ONLY
This Friday is also the Arcangrove Finale member only preview! It's been a long and fun zone and I'm pretty sorry to see it come to a close. This zone has become my favorite in the entire game with it's beautiful areas, fantastic original music, impressive magic-themed items, interesting NPCs, and extremely fun-to-write plotline. Minimal and I have cooked up a new boss mechanic for Chaos Lord Ledgermayne which will require you to pay attention during the fight. I'm not going to say anything else about it but you members get to figure it out before anyone else. Have fun!

Forum Question
A lot of you have already tied your AE game accounts to the Battleon Master Account System but even more of you haven't yet. What little bonus would it take to get you to start a Master Account and attach your accounts to it? A free inventory space? An achievement both in AQW and on your Master Account? A handful of free ACs?
There are rumors foating around about this new vampire lord named Incubus.
Safiria has said that he was once one of her loyal vampire subjects but has decided to strike out on his own and try to grab a piece of the pie for himself.
(There's a blood pie joke in there somewhere)
We're not EXACTLY sure what he's planning but it involves him taking over Battleon AND Mystcroft with his army og Vampire Ghouls, Vampire Bats and Hemogoblins.
This is a call for ALL HEROES to defend Battleon. It's time to put aside your differences and join the battle. It doesn;t matter if you are a member or a non-member, good or evil, pirate or ninja, werewolf or vampire... we need every one of you!
This war features an interesting twist. If you are one of the heroes who has been stockpiling Candy Corn then this is for you. Donate enough Candy Corn to the war effort and the MEGA Defender medals will start dropping faster... and faster.... and faster. It all depends on how much you donate!
There are brand new item drops coming from the war monsters and some REALLY great stuff drops off of Incubus... if you can get to him in time to save Battleon and Mystcroft!

Bladehaven Needs Beta Testing!
Out laterst game, BladeHaven is now open for beta testing and we need YOUR help to find all the little (and much larger) bugs before the full release! If you qualify to be a beta tester for BladeHaven then you will also recieve the Beta Tester achievement in that game!
If you happen to purchase Mercernary Contract in BladeHaven, you will recieve the exclusive non-member Mercernary Gnome pet in AQW!
Remember: you need a Baltteon Master Account linked to your other accounts to possibly qualify!

Warlic has just added a Beta Tester Achievement Badge to the game, (which you won't see if you are just creating a character) and best of all, if you get the "Mercernary Contract" item in BLADEHAVEN then you automatically recieve the Non-Member Mercenary Gnome pet in AQW!
AQW Birthday Event Extended!
We only have our second birthday once so, by popular demand, the AQW Birthday Event is being Extended but it won't last forever. Once the event leaves the nearly all of the items fo with it. If you haven't gotten the item that you wanted from the event yet, now you have a little more time!
Tomorrow, you will be able to relive all the Mogloween fun for the past 2 years starting TOMORROW! You will even be able to grab a few of the Seasonal Rare Drops and AC items, but the SEASONAL RARE SHOP and the PUMPKIN LORD CLASS will be released alongside a number of ALL NEW spooky Mogloween items in NEXT week's all new Mogloween adventure!
We're trying out our new merge shop system in next week's release so you will need to complete quests and farm monsters ro different types of candy that you can excahge for all the great Seasonal Rares in the shop!
The Mana Golem Cometh!
Also starting tomorrow, you run to the top of Arcangrove Tower with your (kind of) completed Supreme Arcane Staff and enter the Para-Elemental Plane of Magic!
With Rayst by your side, you'll have to take on the legenday Mana Golem! You're closing in on Chaos Lord Ledgermayne. Can you stop him from sapping all the magic from Lore?
Sorry for the delay. We have added new Enhamcements in the Healer, Fighter, Thief, Wizard, Luck, Hybrid, & Spellbreaker shops. The new Enh range in level from levels 31-35 so you can get your power up!
Remember, you should always pick the right Enhancements to compliment your class skills so do a little research. Also remember that the stores don't always have the best level for you, so you might want to play around with a few builds and see what works best for you!
AdventureQuest Worlds has turned 2 years old today! In addition to the 2nd Upholder Offer (which lasts until November 2nd), the special AQW Birthday Event hosted by Paul and Storm, featuring Jonathan Coulton, and adding 10 more purchasable backpack item slots (speak to Valencia in Battleon to buy yours!) we have also just raised the level cap to 35!
A few things to note: New Enhancements will be added to the game early next week, and remember that you can only get XP from monsters within twenty levels of your own level. So if you are level 30, you will only get XP from things higer than level 10.
Some people have noticed that the Undead Artix's legendary weapon, the Shadowreaper of DOOM, is a NON-MEMBER item even though it drops from Super Udead Artix, a MEMBER-ONLY challenge fight and want to know the score.
Since a lot of our 2nd Upholders from around the globe have decided to only upgrade for a month (where available) we wanted them to take something away from the membership other than the Onyx Star Sword and the 2nd Upholder Badge on their character page. A little bonus for helping to keep AQW alive and celebrating our birthday with us!
Remember, the event will be running until NEXT FRIDAY. If you decide support AQW by becoming a 2nd Upholder (and we hope you do :) ) you will have an entire week to get the Shadowreaper of DOOM (along with the member-only event rares)!
